And you would want more fuel . . . why? So your car can run MORE rich?

OK I am sure this has been asked of you before, but how and why is the car running lean??

I would find it hard to believe that with NA you are getting too much air into the vehicle for it to run lean. What is your set up. As was said above these cars generally need the amount of fuel to be leaned out unless your vehicle is Forced induction.

And btw how do you know it is running lean?? have you had it on a dyno with an A/F meter or what?? When you had it on the dyno surely the tuner would have made suggestions like putting in larger injectors.

What gives??

If you change the MAF you need to reprogram the ECU.

A MAF that flows more air would actually give you a lower voltage output for the same amount of air flow. So, it would run leaner.

The guy has no reason to change the Maf or I should say he hasn't responded or give any real info on the subject.
If you change the Maf your car might accidently open a rift in the dimension and you might end in the Abyss or maybe in the Demonweb pits.

Make sure when changing your Maf an experienced Wizard is available and have him cast protection spells. Run it's a Drow.

exactly,

but to accurately answer his question, yes it will dump more fuel. Should you be messing around with your car? no. no not at all.

no way to know which way it will throw the fuel until you look at the calibration curves.

The 3.8 swallows about as much air as the duratec 3L. I bet it will run lean.

and bank 2 to lean every time i put it back on switched back and forth 5

times stock to cia when put back on stock no running lean i changed the fuel flitter today going to see if thats the probelm

You have a vacuum leak. Make sure you tighten down the clamps on your CAI really good (use a wrench for the ones after the MAF, those are the ones leaking). That will more than likely solve your lean condition.

My money is on that being the problem.

Changing your fuel filter won't do anything to solve your problem.

How can it be the fuel filter if the codes are not there when you do not have the CAI on.

add the 3.8 MAF and get the turbonater for your intake and youll be set haha

on a serious note you need to get your car to the dyno and get it checked out to make sure your not gonna hurt anything by running lean ....or find someone local with and xcal2 and hook it up to a laptop and do some data logging
