ah, "unequal"....that would be the word my brain did not process, lol. I'm getting a friend to do the exhaust cutout. It's getting done cheap....welded into the section after the downpipe, just before the resonator.
I can't tell you how long it took to install. I swapped header/uppipe with another guy and that same day we did suspension on both. It was a very long day, that I can tell you, lol. It's longer than a downpipe install that's for sure but it's not hard.
1. drop the downpipe to get it out of the way of that uppipe bolt.
2. loosen the uppipe bolts.
3. remove undertray.
4. remove header bolts and pull header and uppipe out together.
If you break bolts or whatever head over to lowes and pick up some new ones. They have em, trust me:rofl:

The shop has some air impact tools, but i dont know how to install those things, i can figure it out but it will take twice as long as someone who knows what they are doing.

Dude, you can do it.....it's soooooo easy. Just a few bolts and pull, no big deal. As for the turbo, two lines for oil and water, watch your clamps, but that can be taken off right after you loosen the uppipe bolts.
Damnit, Ben just bring it up here to me.......

That's why my turbo is only oil cooled, easy to do. I've taken exhaust off of cars 2000-2002, You break as many bolts as come out.

It's not hard to change the turbo, it's just 2 more lines than your oil cooled, and it's in a great location. You just have to watch the clamps cause we dropped on in the uppipe, lol. Fortunatly someone had a telescoping magnet....what are the odds.
I've broken 4 bolts since I've had the car but I've taken the exhaust on and off more times than Ben has. I broke no bolts on the header or uppipe, just the downpipe, and just were it mates up to the turbo.
It's easy:)

I am going to focus on getting my 351 stroker going and in the car before worrying aout finishing up the turbo setup. I can do that soon, the only problem is i will be running a low compression motor with no velocity, all my parts allow maximum air flow. I'll be the slowest 393 mustang, i think my stock cobra motor would stand a decent chance at taking it down in a race but i suppose i will just have to take it slow.
