I am offering 0/1 gauge battery relocations to the contour guys on CEG and figured I would offer them on here.
The link to the CEG Group buy: http://www.contour.org/ceg-vb/showthread.php?t=7436
This is what the kit includes:
20ft of red 0gauge power wire
4ft of black 0gauge power wire
Anl fuse holder with fuse(250amp)
25ft of split loom to protect the 0gauge
2 battery terminals ***If you would rather have side mount terminals let me know (either gold or platium depends on availbility)
2 0gauge set screw heavy duty ring terminals (either gold or platium depends on availbility)
3 0gauge crimp connectors
Fused distorbution block with 4 outputs (either gold or platium depends on availbility)
4 60amp agu fuses
10 wire ties with rings to screw into place if needed
The normal selling price is $165 each shipped, But I can do it in batches of 3 or more for $125 shipped.
Any questions ask, My email is Kanakrysvt@hotmail.com but that is not my paypal address.
I also posted this on theFocusConnection(local MI focus group), Focaljet, Contour.org, SVTperformance soo I will update the lists to save as much money as possible.
If more than 6 want it at the same time I can do each for 10 dollars less so $115 shipped instead of $125.

How easy would it be to use this for a dual battery setup?
SteedaSVT
05-28-2007, 12:27 PM
Like keep the stock battery up front and add another one in the back?
It has everything that you need to do that as well. as it is almost the same exact thing

So essentially all I would need is possible different terminals, and I beleive a diode of some sort is required to prevent the batteries from draining eachother. The battery in the trunk will be powering my amps, which will likely be approaching somewhere just shy of 2000 Watts Max power.;)
SteedaSVT
05-28-2007, 01:03 PM
You would not need a diode. Essentially the battery in the trunk would be hooked up the same way as a cap. You could get a battery isolator but its really not needed. You would have to get 2 more top mount terminials thats about it

So to run a second bat, would i run the red up to the battery up front and connect the second battery to the ground? Then I would be able to hook my amps into the second battery and use the distribution block to put the power to my 2 amps and carputer? Am i missing anything?
SteedaSVT
05-29-2007, 10:49 AM
That is correct. The power wire to the battery up front will keep the bat in the trunk charged.
Your nto missing anything

SteedaSVT
05-29-2007, 10:58 PM
its 125 shipped to the US unless there is 6 or more. With you it would be 4 so 125 shipped. Canada would have to add 15 dollars.
So 140 shipped to canada

Ok sounds like a deal. Do you know if i'll get slapped with some rediculous customs fee?
SteedaSVT
05-30-2007, 10:01 AM
I don't think you will but I'm not customs. I have sold some stuff to canadians before and they didn't seem to have a problem
Teebs
05-30-2007, 11:39 AM
Ok. I'm in.
I'm sure if I browsed around I could get some deals from local stores, but its so much easier just to have everything handed to you, rather than trying to piece everything together! For what this kit costs, it's not worth my time to try and beat the price...

Will you PM with tracking numbers aswell when they're sent? How you sending them? Insured? Uninsured? Etc...??
I think if you don't state a value, which if it is insured it does, and mark it as a gift, it will make it through customs with no fees. I think a gift is up to $30? And after that the reciever pays the remaining fees.
Had some computer parts sent to me, and since they insured it for $450 and had it marked as a gift, they waived $30 because it was marked as a gift, but still charged me duty and brokerage fees for the remaining $420. Think i payed $80 for it to cross the boarder.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe when shipped with USPS, there are no fees?
Thanks.

IM not sure, but if i don't insure it and it gets lost i lose the money for the kit and also have to pay you back. That doesn't sit to well with me.
I have all the kits but they ran out of loom. So 3 kits are missing loom which should be in next week
SteedaSVT
06-14-2007, 03:49 PM
Hey guys,
Just got off the phone with my distributor. The loom is on back order and they dont' know when it will be back in stock.
Question is the next size down will work but won't cover the the 0/1 completely about 1/8" is exposed. So your options are wait, go with the next size down, or I can ship everything except the loom then ship that when it come back in stock ( cost me about 5 dollars extra this way) Let me know
SteedaSVT
06-20-2007, 10:13 AM
I guess the company who makes the 3/4" is out of stock to So your options are
#1 I send out the kits without the loom and Send you $5 back my cost on the loom
#2 Send out the kit with the 1/2" loom which doesn't completely cover the wire diameter wise. About 1/8" is exposed
#3 wait for the 3/4" loom to come back in stock (Could be months not sure)
Teebs
06-24-2007, 11:58 PM
So absolutely no idea on when the loom can be ordered? Can't it be ordered somewhere else?
LinkMan
06-25-2007, 09:31 AM
What kind of loom are you looking for? Like the spiral plastic tubing cover, or something heavier duty?
Because if it's the spiral plastic stuff, Summit Racing has it in stock, that's 3/4" diameter and easily covers a 0/1 gauge welding cable. If it's not that, sorry, don't know.
Teebs
06-25-2007, 11:24 AM
Its the split loom that you feed the wire in from the side. It's not hard to come by, just his supplier is currently out.
SteedaSVT
06-25-2007, 07:00 PM
I can refund what the loom cost me $5.50 per 25 ft and you guys can source it else where. or go with the next size smaller, or wait.
Thing that sucks is the cheapest you can get it on ebay is 17 bucks shipped. The USPS increase in shipping already cost me money out of pocket on the 2 that have shipped.
Let me know what you guys wanna do. The one CEG'r left said he will go with the next size down. Let me know

Got mine... Just waiting to buy my amps before I install... Will be using mine to run a second battery in the trunk, instead of relocating.
