Is there anyone in MN or nearby who would like to pick up one of our new supercharger kits and get a free install. Price is $2800 for the kit. There are quite a few different pulley options available so power output will be similar to previous Vortech kits and go up from there with other pulleys. Expect the supercharger to put out 6psi on the basic $2800 kit. Hp should be in the 50-60hp range depending on the final pulley size we decide on. We need a stock 2.5L and an Auto or Manual will work. Person must be willing to drop the car off for about a week so we can put together a install proceedure, take pics, and get templates for the piping and various areas that needed to be modified. Then we will bring it to the dyno to get a few runs to post up. Someone with a GMK intake is prefered since we are running the piping up to the intake through that hole. A battery relocation kit is needed for ATX's and preferred on the MTX which you are responsible for if you don't currently have one.
Kit will contain:
-Vortech Headunit (polished for extra $)
-Supercharger bracket
-Oil drain and feed lines for supercharger
-Supercharger Pulley/washer/bolt/keyway for shaft
-Drive pulley
-6 rib drive belt
-2.5" Piping/4 ply Couplers/T-bolt clamps
-Intake filter
-3" Short ram intake pipe
-Aftermarket aluminum coolant tank
-Breather for valve cover vents
-All clamps, fittings, air hosing and coolant hosing needed for install
I have one on my car now so I can give you a ride. My car has quite a few other addons so it's hard to put up numbers for my car when a stock 2.5L may perform completey different.

BTW, where has he been? Is he too good for us now that he's got his Tc?

Now that I own Taras' cougar, I would be down. But, I am pretty broke after buying the car and can't afford the kit - so how about if I clean your house for a few weeks? Seriously though, if I had the money I would be 100% in.

Dude you so should do that! Maybe you can do payment or something on it for a few month. But you so should do this!

Sure, it'd be tons of fun. But, it is not possible, monetarily. I am going to get headers, finish the car audio and call it quits. I may look into spray if money is abundant this summer.

How is the car driving? Still like it? I am so pissed i dont have a car right now. I had to ride my bike to eagan today and when i came back home i was exhausted. And doing 70 on the highway on that bicycle was really scary.

 What? You mean your motorcycle?
I love the car. Got the sub installed in her - swapped out CD players - hardwired the radar detector. As far as your CD player goes, whoever installed that one absolutely JAMMED that little plastic piece into the mounting kit. It is that one that fits around the CD deck, the one that's grey.http://images.ciao.com/iuk/images/products/normal/469/Alpine_CDA_9852_RB__6437469.jpg Anyways, I tried for like ten minutes to pry that thing out as gently as I could but those things are so fragile that I ended up snapping it. It'll still work - but, there's a clean crack in it. I am sure you can buy from Alpine for like a dollar if you want.
Did you ever have the fuel pump replaced under that recall? The IMRC is working fine and I ran a can of sea foam in the gas tank, so its not that the injectors are dirty. It's gotta be the fuel pump.

Haven't been looking lately. I'm more concerned with getting it working perfectly on my Cougar, which it seems to be at the moment. Once the new clutch is in I'll get dyno numbers. The numbers will be higher than the base kit will produce on a stock 2.5L since my Cougar has a 3L in it. It will show people the kits potential though.

I have a 2001 it has the SVT UIM\LIM, TB and cool air intake other than that it has stock pulleys and all that and I really want a supercharger BAD and willing to put some money up of it I want to build a 3L stroker motor bored over 30 steal rods pistons port and the head bigger valves I think I will have to get a custom made cams but I dont know if anyone can get a stroker crank or how much it would cost to get one made but over all i like my cougar and want if to smoke all the SRT-4 that smoked me i will be happy if i could get it around 450hp or more i have seen a civic put down 419hp last week after that i got to do something. anyway on your web site you said you build 3L i thought maby you would know if there is a way to get or build a stroker motor for a cougar  or just :banghead: and get a mustang thank you for your time. ps you have the baddest cougar i have ever seen for now.:)

I'd say start with a supercharger and then keep increasing pulley sizes to get the power you want. There isn't any room to stroke a 2.5L or a 3L. The 3L is bored out about as much as you can go. I'd say build up a 3L if you really want a ton of power. My 3L is completey stock and still holding power just fine. Warmonger over on CEG ran his 3L up past 400hp without any issues. Honestly I'd keep running a stock 3L as long as you have a good tune you shouldn't have much issues running 400hp through it. If you do blow it up for some reason put another stock 3L in there. It's significantly cheaper to go through a few 3L motors than building up a custom 3L. A set of pistons will run you $1k ~ 2 3L motors!

I really want my coog to push 400hp but that would take some hard cash and if i know you could get the 2.5 SVT intake to fit on a 3L I would have one with a supercharger. Now for news I was in class last night heard that ford is coming out with a new engine it is a 3.5L duratec all-aluminum V6 they unveiled it at the North American International Auto Show in the Lincoln MKR. they named it TWIN FORCE it uses direct injection common in diesel engines and a turbo. it will be flex-fuel capable for gas and ethanol and this beast will be delivering 415hp and 400ft-lb an impressive 118hp\liter. i hope they keep it the same so we can drop one of these down in the cougars.

It won't work. (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/3-0l-duratec-performance/113129-duratec-35-a.html)
