Hi guys, I'm doing autocross next Sunday and didn't know if anyone has any pointers. I have a 99 v6 atx, running Falkens. It handles great, but if I should know anything, let me hear it! Thanks

If you haven't already, read through the FAQ in this section as well as the Novice Handbook (http://www.tirerack.com/features/solo2/handbook.htm). Together they give you a good run down on the basics.
My couple of pointers for people at their first event:
1 - Check your ego at the gate. You probably won't be fast at your first event, speed comes with seat time. Also, if you have questions, ask someone. Most people are willing to help out new people as having more autocrossers in a region is almost always a good thing.
2 - Get comfortable driving the course before you try to be fast. If you DNF, driving quickly means nothing. Walk the course a few times before the event, preferably with an experienced autocrosser (if a novice walk is available, do it). Learn to read the course and figure out which cones are important (experienced people can help you with that).

turn your OD off and do the first run in Drive, from there you will know if where to start and where to shift, for the most part you will start in 1st and shift into second depending on the track you may never get out of first
and i hate you for being able to run an event in march :disgust:
