This is my first post in this section so I apolgize if its a sucky story

Anyway in Concord where I live all the people with the modfied cars hangout at the Taco bell usally its all cool and theres no trash talking but occasionally some redneck with a beat up Honda shows up and starts running there mouth.
So anyway this redneck pulls and circles the parking lot like 5 times and finally pulls beside me and starts running his mouth out the blue I just ignore him and then finally he calls my Cougar a little pussycat know that piss me off . So we head to the interstate and race from about a 50 roll poor guy didnt know what he got into I started in third by the way I pulled him 1-1/2 a car length from 50 then by the time I hit 80 he was about 6 cars back poor guy :( . We head back to the bell and when he came back rolling through he decided to tell me he would have brunt my @$$ if his vtec was working :gtfo: needless to say he was the laughing stock the whole night. What i dont understand is why do some people think ther SOHC vtec civic can hang with a 2.5 V6 commonsense tells you that your going to get your @$$ whoped

99 Cougar MTX - CAI Trubendz test pipe gutted cats = Cougar wins

96 Civc MT - CAI full exhaust and a turbo kit :bs:= Civics Vtec is broken

FYI Cracka, Concord is where 90% of all NASCAR drivers are from.

Needless to say there is not much to do around them parts.

That's my understanding too, as you can't really vary the timing with only one cam. So, I would have had to call :bs: on him there, and if he claimed to have had a turbo kit and you didn't hear any spool, especially running from 50-80 MPH, then I'd have called :bs: But, grats on the kill, if someone is going to come around thinking they're hot stuff, they deserve to get knocked down a peg or two.

There most definitely SOHC VTEC's. I'll pull up some links here in a second.

Here's one for sale on eBay right now. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-95-HONDA-CIVIC-EX-ENGINE-ONLY-125HP-VTEC-D16A_W0QQitemZ140084452016QQihZ004QQcategoryZ33615 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

You are correct. I did some research, and found that yes, it is available in SOHC, but isn't as efficent, as typically only the intake is effected, doesn't effect both intake and exhaust like on a DOHC. I stand corrected.

Good kill. I had some idiot in a junkyard looking integra that was pretty much acting the same way a few weeks back towards me. It's kinda sad what people say about their cars sometimes.

In my hometown, we typically have 50-100 cars at the local Denny's on US1 on thursday nights, and Saturdays its a Dunkin' Donuts with generally double the number of people.

Food + cars is always a fun combo
