Anyone here have any recommendations for sites that have MTX shift knobs and boot covers for our cars? I've seen a few universals that I liked, but didn't know if anyone made one that's a guaranteed fit.

Thanks. I stumbled upon that site after making this thread and ordered me a set.

I like some of the shift knobs they link too as well.

Yup, redline has good stuff. Here's another site with a few shift knobs for the reverse-lockout.

From some photos on the site it looks like it uses velcro to hold itself in place. IIRC the stock boot is stapled into place.

the shiftboots and the 01-02 ebrake boots are held in place by a frame with pegs that go thru slots in the leather, then snap back into the console. the 99-00 ebrake boot frame is plastic 'welded' in place so you need to break the welds then re-attach it with plastic epoxy or something similar.
The 99-00 shift boot frame (probably the same on all I'd guess) had an inner plastic piece that was stapled to sandwich the leather in place. I skipped re-using that piece, and it's been fine. don't know if the 01-02 ebrake frame has the same kinda inner frame.
as far as at the top, the ebrake boot just fits the handle (really tight actually with an aftermarket handle). The shifter boot has room to be grathered. I used 3 or 4 heavy duty threads to tie it off then cut the loose ends. IIRC, the stock boot is held wiht a zip tie, so could do that too.

I can take some other pix of mine if you want (except the ebrake from underneath because I hope to never have to take my console out again ).

just make sure that you tell them you have a shortshifter if that applies to you.. I had them cut my MTX boot down by 1 and a 1/2 inches.... fits great!

Looks like Goldies is a tad bunchier than it could be

goldie, buy some mothers aluminum polish from autozone and polish that shift knob up, mine looks like chrome because of it.

Yea, as much as I would like a B&M STS it's out of my budget right now. I'm trying to stick with replacing only what's worn/broken.

I just bought a et of shift and e-brake boots from Redline as well...
Very nice selection of fabrics and threads and styles, very user friendly site, too!!

Can't wait to see them in person... Got black CF vinyl with red stiching, should go rather well with my black and red racing buckets and Corbeau harness pads and harnesses

I have an ATX Cougar and I was looking to replace the ugly stock shifter plate with a boot from Redline. Is there any way to get my hands on the MTX boot retention plate or am I out of luck?

Get the boot and use the ATX shifter plate to hold it in.

Got my leathers today. A good 2 1/2 weeks earlier than expected too!

The quality of these things are nice. I'm gonna feel bad putting them in the car to be honest cause I don't want them to get ruined.

I took a stab at their "light blue" hoping it would match the LSB and it's practically dead on. Now I really wished I got the 2-tone leather.

They smell nice too.

I've had mine in for about 2 years and still look 100% ;) even the armrest cover that my dog insists on standing on or walking over is in great shape.

I'd love to get new seat skins in black leather with yellow stitching to match. Just need to find the extra $1000 +/- sitting around with nothing else to spend it on ;)

I just got mine in yesterday, as well, and the Carbon Fiber vinyl is amazing! Has a great feel to it and looks really nice!..and the red stiching will definitely match nicely with my interior...

BIG  to Redline!!!
