totally... a few years back in my basement / computer room, I had rims as a coffee table, tires as end tables, my 2 racing seats were my recliner chairs... I had the tv+ps2 setup, and I distinctly remember playing Gran Turismo whilst my mother just looked at me and shook her head.

Grant, where did you get your carbon fiber hood? I would like to get one soon. And if you dont mind, how much did you pay for it??

Yofavcracka
02-11-2007, 01:46 PM
zxtuner.com
contact Rob (owner) and tell him i told you about it.
i got it for 330 dollars. I picked it up, so i avoided any shipping charges. But hes a great guy to work with.

AndrewM6097
02-11-2007, 01:49 PM
330? wow that seems like a deal. Would you have any idea how much it would cost to ship that thing? Im all the way up in Mass

https://zxtuner.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=137&categoryId=23

apparantly he upped the price a lil bit. its 360 or something, and 80 bucks for shipping. but ive seen there shipping stuff, and itll defintely keep it safe.

AndrewM6097
02-11-2007, 01:57 PM
still thats a good deal. Thanks! i'll have to keep that in mind when i get the cash

AndrewM6097
02-11-2007, 03:11 PM
it involves taking off your old hood and putting the new one on :) and adding soom hood pins

30 minutes to take off 4 bolts that holds your stock hood latches, and bolt down the new hood. then since i have hoodpins AND stock latch, it took me 2 hours to get the latch mechenism to be in the correct position for the hood's latch.

i have put stock hoods on cars at my internship but is it hard to line up the latch and stuff?

and how do hood pins connect to the hood? is it like a wire type deal or something?

There are a lot of different hood pins. I have Sparco's and the pin/plate are screwed into the hood. Two holes get drilled onto the frame of the radiator mount where the pole (the part the pin slides into) is at.

I can see that you are very creative. You can actually turn a car piece into a wall design. I can only imagine what other creative things you can do with your cougar.
