i thought what the hell...we need a random chat thread too!
so to start it off i thought i'd tell ya'll i went and got a new tattoo last night. i got a chinese kanji (sp?) on the back of my neck. its the symbol for ruthless. my aunt took me to dinner at red lobster and then paid for my new tat last night for my belated birthday present. i got it in san marcos at "sharp things" and they did a fantastic job on it. i've had all my work done there and would recomend them to anyone who's looking for good work.

kinda....i mean its not as bad as it was thats for sure. instead of looking like an overcooked meatloaf its now kind of a purplish pinkish......area? not all areas scarred but the ones that did are as described above.

from somebody whose never had road rash: is it ever going to totally go away or will it be noticeable for the rest of your life? in any event, that was still a crumby way to get a skin peel -- spa? ;) sorry, I had too!!!

i thinks some spots might go away completely but others wont. i'll try and upload an example of one that won't later, like my wrist.
...and yes, that was the worst skin peel ever. damn the spa of yamaha!
now to totally change gears here....is anybody from texas going to fest?
my car is pretty much totally stock and we live in tx but after checking out all the stuff on here and looking at the fest archive i REALLY REALLY want to go......so very very bad.

well at the moment i have a large "crunch" in my hood where someone backed in to me and my bumper is cracked. it will be fixed before july but i would probly still go even if it wasn't.
i just wanted to know because i map quested the route from seguin and its a 22 hr drive. which isn't too terrible because we drive to colorado all the time and thats a 17 hr drive. with two people in a car it can be done easily.
i would never attempt it by myself but like i said with someone else i'd be willing to drive it straight through. and if i go my friend will probly be with me and she can drive part and i can drive part.
i was just kind of gauging interest out of the tx people i guess

Well my Valentines/ B-Day is going to be lonely this year  the gf has hinted enough to show that were breaking away for sure. Talk about how women can mess a guy up w/o touching them. I tried to do the guy thing & drink a 6-pack of Keystone light  but it just made me feel worse. I guess i'm back on the drawing board of moding the cougar even more since im forced to be single again.

I recommend something stronger....like Jager. It will make you forget who you are for awhile, and that will help. Trust me :)
Sorry to hear about that though. Seems like it's been happening lately to everyone I know. It sucks.

I have an idea lets talk about that dead beat Robbie that ripped off a bunch of people. I hope the reason that he didn't answer the door was because he fell down the stairs and right now maggots are feeding on his rotting flesh.
BTW good idea on the random chat thread.

I wouldnt worry too much about the condition of your car, thats not what CF is about [well for the people that matter, thats not what its about]

Pfft, my car has dents, dings, and scratches all over it. And the Laser Red has of course faded after being out in the sun for 7 years. It's pretty depressing when I think about it, but as bensenvill said, no one really cares at CF! :)

02-06-2007, 07:02 PM
well heres what you *don't* want to do: attempt to install hundreds of dollars of parts the night before you leave.... you always get a number of those mofo's and by the time they actually get to fest half their body kit is lost and their bumpers are held on by zip ties.
The past 3 years, I've always had one of the worst looking cars at CF... now if they had an award for "most improved", I'd probably be a good contender.
katescoug
02-06-2007, 07:17 PM
lol that is soo funny.
i'm not gonna be making any major improvements on my car before fest as im saving all my money to go to fest. but that sounds like its really funny to see

Why's that? ...I only ask because I have a slush box too and live way farther away! lol.
skater
02-07-2007, 07:34 AM
I have an MTX, not a slushbox. I think you're looking at my Impala's specs, not the Cougar's. :)
Let's see:
2004 - I drove the Cougar there, no problem.
2005 - I bought a motorhome and wanted to stay in the motorhome and take the Cougar via tow dolly, which I had to order. Unfortunately the tow dolly didn't come in in time, and renting one was unbelievably expensive - it was actually cheaper to rent a car when I was Indy. For that trip, I was actually in Indianapolis for a week, because there were other things I wanted to see and do, so I decided to leave the Cougar home and still take the camper. (The tow dolly came in while I was in Indy.)
2006 - I was on my way to fest in the motorhome with the Cougar on the dolly when the transmission on the motorhome blew about 3 hours from home. Since the repair was something like $4000, and I had my cat with me, I decided to abort and go home. :( I was really disappointed, and the expense couldn't have come at a worse time: I'd just bought a new house, and put a new $2000 generator in the camper.
2007 - The camper has a rebuilt Jasper transmission that works very well, and the Cougar is running well, and the tow dolly is working, so everything should be Go for this year. :)
