Finished another 3L Cougar so it will be forsale soon if anyone is looking for one.
1999 Laser red Cougar
90k on body
5-Speed
Sport package (16 in. rims, 4 wheel disc, etc)
Full 3L (30k on engine)
It needs a new front bumper and the fender has a ding in it. We are looking to replace the parts now but if anyone wants to get it a bit cheaper we can sell it as is. Looks like the owner bumped into something in a parking lot so the damage is fairly minor.
Looking to get $6k fixed OBO. Less if the person wants to fix it on their own.

Well, I am going to be buying a car sometime (hopefully by june.) I am currently looking at a 2nd gen DSM and a 1997+ Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I'd be all over the GTP if it had a 5 or 6-speed, but it is only offered as an automatic. I'd be all over the DSM, but I am finding it somewhat difficult to find one that is priced as it should be priced - the DSM is what would be my first choice.
I loved my Cougar, but it didn't have enough power. The idea of a 3L REALLY piques my interest. If a black cougar with a 3L swap happened to be for sale around the time I was looking to buy, I would be VERY intersted. But, I wouldn't want you to build the car expecting me to buy it.
I'd love to ride in that 3L you guys have right now. I am also going to be researching the 3L swap a little more.
So, in a couple months, I will be in the market for a car.

Random question here:
I take it you guys don't tune the car. If that is the case, where do you recommend getting it tuned at and how much $$$ has that been averaging?

Joe's got it down. The car would REALLY wake up with a tune. It would probably pick up QUITE a bit down low...

So who took a ride in the car this past weekend? Did you like it? I hear the tune the dyno shop put in needs to have the idle adjusted down a bit but other than that it should have been running pretty good. :)

I took it for a ride. It was raining out :banghead: It was very nice. The engine sounds mean :biggrin: I'd love to hear that thing with Trubendz.

I think i better come up with a quick $500 bucks so i can afford to sell my car and buy it. I am so close guys.... I would like to see the car again, maybe this tuesday? Hopefully by then i can sell myself on the street corner, or better yet, i will go door to door asking people if they would like to become rich, and say i work for Amway! HAHA!
