Ok guys, the past few weeks when i have been coming on and looking at our chapter I yawn! I know i am not alone! This must change! So i would like to devote this thread called Wake up Minnesota to talk about anything! Heck, anything is better than nothing; so this thread can be anything from Tigger punching the daylights out of that lil kid at Disneyland to Heidi being her drunk self on wanting to say wwwwhhhhaaatttsss upppp! HAHA, Jk you know i love you Heidi! So help me wake up our chapter here! Oh and Neil, did you ever sell your car yet?

Neil sold his car.
Well, I just started a class at Augsburg. It is nice to be back in school. I am taking a 100 level bio class called Human Biology. It will be the easiest class I have ever taken (I am a biology/chemistry major and have already taken general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochem, cell bio, animal phys...)
That's really the only new thing in life. I have been working full-time at Minnesota Gastroenterology. I just got 6 months sober last month :gobanana:

Thats awesome and congrats on the past 6 months! Good luck and i hope for many more to come! Maybe you can help me out sometime, since i am taking a basic Biology class at Inverhills Community College, i am hoping that its not going to be too hard, but now i know how to PM if i ever have any questions! How is your winter beater, i mean you Mazda 626?

Good luck trying to install it yourself. Rusted bolts are a bish. They had to cut my bolts off with a welding torch.
Nice to see that you've got the modding bug. Next thing for you is some MSDS headers.

Wow how did you know I was drinking??? No really, I've either been partying or working at the club, so I haven't actually seen daylight in a couple of weeks since I sleep during the day. Classes start tomorrow though so I'll have to get back into the swing of things. Also I think it's best for me not to drink for a while. It's been far, FAR too much these last couple of weeks. Gah. Also I'm depressed because I can't ride my bike. I hate winter.

I had my custom exhaust done at the shop last year, so it was taken off before and should not be too rusted out. I will probely get it installed at the shop somewhere. Headers are way to expensive.

I dont know, yet. If you remember i told you that i want to get a new car later this spring/summer, but it seems like that is not going to happen. So i will probebly just keep modding the car. I want to get a differnt grill and some a lip kit, like Roush(sp?) or whatever other ones there are. I wont a one that you dont have to take down the old bumpers. May be a hood and after that we'll see.

So, I see you were looking into MSDS headers? If I still had my cougar, that would have been my next mod.
My 626 is uber fast 0-60 in eleven seconds flat! - so I don't need to mod it at all.
xavioz
01-18-2007, 01:59 PM
wow. it seems you've solved your need for speed problem.
i was indeed looking into the headers. the only thing holding me back is the price. some weapon R headers went on sale in the For Sale section. he was selling them for 225. what an amazing price. unfortuantely, i missed first dibs by 15 minutes :(. i'd prefer to get them used for cheaper, but i still may consider getting them new (the msds that is). I'm also still waiting on my GMK. you weren't kidding when you told me to prepare for a long wait.

Dude just slap a turbo on it. Or go with on of those electric ones! ;)
xavioz
01-18-2007, 02:55 PM
with your electric turbo, might as well add a few 'superchips' and maybe a vortex air spinner in your intake tubing. probly at lesat 60HP increase.

There actually such things as electric superchargers that work. The concept is that instead of the supercharger being driven by the engine's work, the supercharger is driven via an electric motor being powered by a separate rechargeable batter. The advantage is that it is MUCH easier to install than a regular blower because there are no belts/pulleys to attach. The only downside is that the battery needs to be recharged.
Thomas Knight electric supercharger! (http://www.boosthead.com/product.php?id=18)
When I want instant boost in my Mazda, I use my will power and I rock back and forth in my seat really fast. Rocking back and forth adds at least 20 HP.

Hey all....I don't care where we go but I need to be off like a prom dress by like 9:30 or something if it's a weekend. I work at 11pm at the club Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Otherwise my weeks are insane with class, club activities, and crying about not riding my bike.
