Hi my name is Adam..

Ive been on this site a few times prior to signing on. I have a black 2000 cougar v6. I have put on some minor mods, like sachii wheels and nexen tires, full kenwood sound system, hid's, injen cold air, and thats about it so far. I would like to drop the 3.0L into my cougar, but that will be awhile!!
For now I going to work on getting an exhaust put on, if anyone has any suggestions!! Recently my transmission went out, so I had to dish out $1000 to get that fixed, and then about two weeks later my radiator went!! OUCH there went another $400. But now my couagr seems to be fine for the time being. Anyone have any suggestions for performance mods??? i don't know where to start??? Thanks

Id go with a nice shorty shifter, and headers(msds) and exhaust (borla, truebenz, flowmaster anything) if you coulda found a SVT radiator that woulda been clutch, woulda been a little nicer then a stock, esp if you plan on adding hp down the road. umm underdrive pullies wouldnt be a bad investment. Check out www.promotiontuning.com for anything and everything cougar parts related. Check out the threads for some good deals on parts, and you'll learn a thing or two. This is an awesome site! Good luck!!

Intake and Exhaust are usually the first place people start.

Welcome to the board, post some pics of the Coug!

There are a couple of stickied threads in the 2.5 section you can read to get started.

Glad to see you changed your mind and are keeping the Cougar! I'm actually working on doing the 3L swap in my Cougar, so I'll let the AZ guys know when I'm doing stuff and you guys can come over and help and see how it all goes together.

BTW, look down the main page and find the AZ section and introduce yourself to the locals. I'm sure once Greg gets back from Cali we'll get a meet planned.
