This post is just for me to throw myself a pity party...

Well, we just started our new autocross year, and I was anticipating getting my times much closer to those of the other woman who ran in SML.

However, her husband just had to mod their WRX even more... now it's nearly 400HP, has new mods to the suspension, and I didn't get a chance to find out what else!

So, once again, I have no chance of getting near her times.:banghead:

Marge, I feel your pain. It's crazy knowing you're a good driver and having a car that can't compete. :( That's the biggest reason I had when I purchased a Mini. I went from 12 consistently to top 5 consistently.

That sucks. Although it is the same reason I fled SM for DSP.

Thanks for the sympathy! I can't claim that I'd win even if we drove the same car, but at least I'd have a chance...

But it's not really mainly autocross that I love my car for...

Wait your competing against a lighter, faster car and your not getting faster times then them? Who cares you just keep drving your ride and enjoy it. If you had the same advantages as the other person I think you would totally beat them.

I love it:
"Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you." --Anonymous

Thanks Terec

Now I'm not sad anymore!! That's going to show up all over the place around here.

Yeah, we're racing, on an official calendar of Jan - Dec, with no racing in July & August. It's way too hot in July & August to race. Only problems we've had with that schedule were some hurricane postponements in Sept & Oct in 2005. Although rainy June has showed some real interesting ways people on race tires can drive a wet course!

 I'm curious. What is way too hot? Around here we are looking at 120+ on the Central Valley air strips in August.. But hey, racing is racing..

"Way too hot" is when the generators can't cool the Timing RV enough to keep the equipment running!!

Fun runs are fun, but timed runs COUNT.
