having never sat in the Porsche GT, I would have no idea... but I do know that the driver sits very low in the car... so it might very well be a good position. Infact, I'd bet about $600,000 that its been well researched and tested
plus with that car - you'd never want your hand too far from the steering wheel!

actually a lot of race cars (WRC) hav ethe shifter up there, it lessens the time that your hand is off of the wheel. Hold your hands up like your driving and try it out

Yup...and if you've ever watched a Cart/Champ Car race, their right hand move only slighty off to the right of the steering wheel....F1 used to be in the same spot before they went to semi-auto.

*drools* that is one sexy beast.
I actually saw pictures of that a few weeks ago... not a big fan.
i'll take a 'stock' Carrera GT in black, please. :)
I would, however, like 2 of these... 1 black and 1 white, please.

Agreed....Its a bit overkill.
I don't think Porsche's should be modified....Respect the time and effort put in to them...They're beautiful as is.
I'll take one in dark grey or silver.

Yea but that would take away the prestige and uniqueness of it. Its a dream/goal to aim for. If you able to afford one....You can give yourself a big pat on the back...and deservedly so!!!

Sorry...I think you misunderstood me...What I was trying to say was that if we all had one, we wouldn't appreciate how great a car it is.
If one becomes successful enough to be able to buy one, then thats half the joy of owning it...A reward for hard work.

That's how come whenever you see a damn fancy car, there's always some old as dirt man driving it.

I actually like the look of this porsche. And I'm not a big fan of them. Maybe its because it looks less like a porsche and more like a ferrari?? :cover:

No I understood you, I'm not talking about anyone in particular. I just know a lot of these guys I see driving nice cars aren't the hard workers you were referring to. They are the ones that are living of their daddies money. I have friends like that and it annoys the hell out of me to see how much they don't appreciate what they have. If they had to work for it they would take care of it a lot more.

To be honest...If I had the money for a Porsche, I'd try and find a late 80's/ early 90's 911 Turbo. Black with a Whale Tale....
They were such a beautiful car....Big flares and lots of nice curves.

Don't worry bout em...You'll have the last laugh...I know people like that too...They don't understand/appreciate the value of a dollar....They start off with lots of cash, but a lot of em end up with nothing, cause they just spend spend spend.
I used to get soooo annoyed at that when I worked at Foss. Whatching those kids come in and their Dads buying them H2's, Escalades, and all kinds of other fancy cars (Foss has its own leasing company so we could lease any make and model). The worst part is they had this attitude that it was owed to them, and not to mention how bratty they were.....I hear ya loud and clear man!!!
My kids are gonna appreciate what they got: "Son....go cut the grass, and you can have your $5 allowance for the week...." LMAO

I know people that took a company there father built over 40 years and bankrupted in in less than 5 years. It's really sad when you think about it. :(

It is, but in a situation like that, you gotta wonder about the parents too right...Can't blame the kid for being given everything.
I wouldn't want to take over my fathers company...I'd rather jsut own it and hire the right people to run it....Unless of course I knew what I was doing. But even still...I'd be affraid of doing just that.

My mom's Unlce Awalt owns/ runs a company in Germany. He has 2 sons. He divorces his wife, and remarries. Years go by...the youngest son, Heiko works for Dad...is smart...moves up..and then one day, BAM! Kicks his father out. Bought his shares out from under him, and left him with nothing. Nice hey... So, you may go back on topic now.
