2- 2.5 Duratec engines 1 fresh one has 2 hours on it . They have 290+hp at flywheel. Ported and flowed heads then extrude honed custom Ford Racing cams with adjustable cam gears all new value springs and titanium retainers, a heat treated and straighten and balanced crankshafts, wisco 12.1 pistons ( You can lower compression it you need to) I ran it on 102 octane. Carillo rods, All tri-metal bearings, High volume oil pumps, matched injectors with double extrude honed intake and Ford calibrated ECU plus more. Very reliable engines I would run to race season before rebuild. Cost $15,000 each to build sell for $3500 each or best offer.

do you perhaps have some valve springs to go with those nifty little cams you got from Kinetics?

Kinetics got the springs but the cams came from Ford

I talked to Chris and he wont let go of any info on them I am aware that they are 3L cams that have been welded reground and had SVT sprockets cleanenced to fit them. Buy Weisco pistons? I was under the understanding that they were Diamond Pistons and were closer 13:1 compression

Well The cams I have were not welded and reground they were made by Ford EMDO he has built other engines for other people and would not have acess to the parts I supplied him for my motors.

ah, ok... I have a feeling I know what your cams are based off of then. I would really like to chat more with you about these engies you have.

leo can speak more on the engine. a lot of us want to know how to pull 290 out of a 2.5....when ,most of us are running 3l w/ CSVT cams/UIM/LIM setup

cams and compression have a lot to do with it... mind you these are race engines, not street engines...

just so you know this engine would have to idle between 1500-2000 rpm to even stay running.

Do you have a dyno you can post on one of the engines?

I'm also wondering if you have the secondaries still in them and what type of intake you are using.

Thanks.

thats true, but its the same picture he has posted on his site (http://www.capaldiracing.com/photos.asp?Navigate=engine) are the same from Mumm Brothers Racing site (http://www.mummbrothers.com/T2_Stuff/T2Main.htm)

Leo and the Mumms origanally were working together to build two cars. They got the first complete (Leos) here in Michigan and finished the second at there place in Wisconson, thus alot of the pics from both sites are from the initial build at Leos shop.

What does all this USELESS INFO have to do with purchasing the engines?

it has nothing to do with it, and I'm going to say this straight up. I'm sick of pruning this thread. The chances of Leo answering any of your questions in this thread are slim to none, if you are not making a serious inquiry, dont post here. Show some respect or strikes will be issued.

I want this engine but i need it as a daily drivin car. 290hp wow plus a tk supercharger this would rip! can you change the compression enough to run 90-92 octane fuel? and does this engine use the same harness and everything and drop rite in? also what abou the ecu?? and the fuel delivery does it need to be upgraded same as the exhaust and drive train and the mtx tranny?

no your missing the whole point of these engines if you try and S/C them and lower the compression. :banghead: This is a powerful purpose built N/A engine. I swear i'd almost buy one.

bensenvill

and trust me, it is not a daily driver engine

I have seen Leo's old track car in person, like many on here from Canada who have also attended a race or two. This engine idles at like 2-3K RPM and is loud as all hell! It simply couldn't be used in a street car ... it's 13+:1 CR + agressive timing = 102+ octane gas required ... enough said!
