OK, Please understand that i am in need of help and i have seen your forums. i have been told that the SCT can bypass pats completly. i dont know anything about this. i thought i would drop in your forums to ask before i jump up and buy the programmer. i dont know if the software will come with it or not? like i said, i was told that the SCT 2 or something could bypass the pats burning it out of the ECU completly. Thank you for your time and i hope to have this figured out soon.

the sct prp can disable the pats. if you have the prp go into scalers, then scroll down to system switches, now use the menu on the right side of the screen and scroll down to pats alternate switch set the maximum value to 0.000000 it should now be disabled.
note:that if you had your serviced by ford or mercury they might have updated the ecu and some features of the prp such as pats disable might not work, you will also not be able to use door remote to open or close the doors.
p.s try this at your own risk. as i got my to work by experimenting.

ok, i dont have anything yet, i called the guy that sells sct and he told me that it would only work on one car, and it would be 380 dollors or something. i told him i have olot of cars that i needed done that way, that i cant afford that per car. he told me that you cant flash the car and move on the the next, that you would have to leave the sct box hooked to the car, but then again, i know a guy that wants me to send him my box or something so he can flash it and send it back. people is not understanding that i well be flashing a large amount of cars because that is what i do. i buy reced cars and pull the engines out, put them in streetrods whatever. but i have to buy keys and have the programmed per car, here it cost me 120 dollars per car, thats getting a vin number and chip key $20 bucks. and i get charged $95 for the programming. i just dont see why you cant flash the brains in these things, if you know something i dont, Please share, i own a 2000 cougar, i paid $230 dollars for that key, that is before i knew about pats. i am so agravated with these keys. someone please tell me that you can flash a box without leaving hardware hooked to it? please. and i am working on a ford mustang right now, dude comes out tommorow to charge me 95 more dollars. there should be a way i can by a tool and get the keys cut buy the dealerships and program them myself. errrr help wanted hehe SORRY FOR TYPOS

Sorry not much we can do about it. PATS is an anti-theft setup and even though you would use it to sell parts, someone else would use it to steal cars if they could program their own keys.
Heck I don't know how to help you with that without using something that costs even more. :(

There is a programming tool from ford that you can buy but I think its over $5k and I'm not even sure if the public can buy it. I've seen some pop up on ebay for a few thousand every so often.
