View Full Version : Double Adjustable Toe Arms

jrak123
12-22-2006, 08:08 AM
I am opening a group buy for my custom Toe Arms to help generate revenue for my upcoming Double adjustable front and rear control arms. I normally sell them for $150 a set and if I can get 10 buyers or more I will sell them for $130 a set plus shipping

They come in Gold anodized finish and you have the option of poly urethane bushings at both ends( this is the setup I recommend ) or you can have poly up in the sub frame and a spherical heim joint at the bottom(bad idea for daily driver). If you want them in a different color I can have them powder-coated for an additional $15(can add up to 2 weeks for shipment since I have to outsource this step and I can't judge for sure how long they will take to do it)

Please post here and then send me a PM with your info on ordering. Also to keep the thread clean please just PM me any questions and concerns on the product.

so what exzactly will happen after these are installed? How are they adjusted and how will it effect ride quality? And can they be powedercoated a shiny silver? Is there a guarantee on the finish..

jrak123
12-24-2006, 12:56 PM
they will hold adjustment better than stock parts, they wont bend or flex as easily as the stock parts and they will stiffen up the rear of the car.

What kind of guarantee do you want with the finish> it's powdercoating, what else do you want? Silver is am avaliable finish.

the aluminum tube has a spot on each end for a wrench to tighten the nut against. it is gnarled in the middle to adjust by hand. when loose you turn it in the middle and both ends push in or out since one side has left handed threads.

Bumparoo. I have 10 buyers now, but I will keep this open for another week to see if I get any more orders. Then the people that are in on the buy can paypal me the money. paypal is jrak123@yahoo.com .

When sending the money please include a PM to me here in the boards with your shipping info and the specs that you want the arms built to. Ie. Powderocating and color. If it is a special color send me a pic of the color you want. and include $15 more for the coating. Then specify if you want both Poly joints or if you want poly up top and spherical at the bottom. Shipping will also add $10 a set.

hey I don't know much about these so please exscuse any dumb questions and be nice to me haha! but what EXACTELY do these do, they adjust the chamber of a lowered car correct so that you can align the rear end? am I close, because all I know is I have air bag suspension and my passenger side rear tire has decided to do this (mini picture to the right) driver side rear tire --> | \ <--- passenger side rear tire in a view from the back on the car and not so extreme, but if that makes sence to you will these fix that haha! sorry I sound like an idiot I did a quick search on google on what exactely these adjust and all I came up with is there for the rear and they allow you to adjust your toe of your tire for less wear if you lower your car! please help me out!

jaged
01-03-2007, 07:56 PM
these adjust the toe only which is the inward outward adjustment horizontally of the front of the tire

snowboarder, I'll add that its half your solution to rear camber adjustment on lowered cars. Adjustible lower control arms [which hopefully jason has on the near horizon] will allow changes to camber... but you also need to reflect these changes on the toe arms other wise your going to look like sonza dancing [toes pointed in].

Ok, sorry for the lask of communication, I have been busy this week. Yes I placed the order last week, but when I hadn't gotten the parts on tuesday as expected I called them to find out the hold up. My order was on hold because the Urathane heim joints are on back order, So I gave them approval to sent the other matrials so I can get them off to powder coating. It's going to be a week or so before I get the rest of the materials in. By then everyone's stuff should be back from powder coat and I can ship all orders at that time.

Well I spoke to my supplier last night as to why I haven't gotten my parts yet. They were on back order, now they are discontinued. I am looking for a solution for it right now but it may take a bit more time to get it worked out. I understand that everyone has been waiting very patiently and I completely understand if you aren't willing to wait any longer and want a refund.

But I hope that you are all willing to give me some more time to get this together. I am supposed to call the sales manager to sort it out today.

These should be pretty easy to install for you, I did one in a parking lot at Oakland when I still lived in the dorms. Took about 10 minutes at most then alignment time.

bensenvill
02-09-2007, 01:54 PM
mine took almost 2 months... but thats because I wasnt carefull and ended up snapping off one the the hub assembly bolts putting the new toe arm on. It all ended good because the result was rear disk brakes.

but ya, its something that should only take 2 beers.

Teebs
02-09-2007, 03:49 PM
My bolts were rusted in pretty good, took me about 1 1/2 hours to install the bars and I was using a lift in the schools garage... I was also be extremely careful not to break the bolts off, i was using a long L-handle to break them lose with tons of WD-40 to help. I really don't see how they could possibly take 10 minutes? Unless your bolts were pretty clean?

No, scully, they wont work. The items I am trying to locate are similar to heim joints, just with a poly insert instead of a ball end.

I also had some troubles with the upper joints, but I have worked them out and sourced them again. I am still working on the lower joints. For those of you that wanted solid/ not urithane heims I can get those out to you in the next week or so now.

But for the others I am still working on that. I can change orders to regualr heims for people if they wish.

I love these toe-arms!!! I feel they've made a differance, I can make the car oversteer in dry weather now with very little effort. These arms were definately worth the money, I paid alittle more for mine because it was before the group buy, but i had them in about a week and installed in about 2 hours, bolts were ceased pretty good...

These have held up way better than stock imo... The other night coming around a corner, halfway through it turned into gravel, whole car goes sideways and off the road onto someones lawn, mud flying, whole side of my car was covered. I thought for sure something would have broke. Look under the car, grass everywhere, mud falling off it. And Jraks arms still shining and straight. :) I know, it was a stupid thing to do... I was so pissed at myself as i drove home and my car shook really hard at 80km/h, got home, sprayed it down. Turned out to be mud on the rims that was the problem..

But anyways, car handles great with the new arms, and they've taken a beating and still kept on kickin. Jason is a great guy, even drove and met me with the arms.

Just one question though about your arms... Should i replace the hardware? The bolts on the knuckle allow for alittle bit of play in the arms, probably just the mileage and rust on the stock bolts. I think that may be contributing to my vibration I feel??

15 days, still no word, if there is something holding things up, I want to know. If they are shipping sometime in the near future, I want to know. You have my money, I want the arms. If you are too busy to produce them, then just say so and return everyones money.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry that I didn't get a chance to get your parts to you yet. I should in all honesty be able to ship them out to you by Monday next week. I was really sick most of the week last week, in and out of the doctors office and emercengy room, so that left me little energy or time to get things done in a timely manner. But for sure I will get the parts out to you. this time. I am very sorry for all the delays.

Ok, this is now getting to be BS! I am told next week, then next week, I am told next week, then again next week........I WANT MY PARTS!!! Once again, I will say this, either ship them and forward me the tracking number, or return the damn money!!! ^^OHHHH! Burn!^^

I've only talked to Jason breifly, but I've put alot of trust in him. He made a quality part and was did more than he should have to make sure they were in my hands ASAP. I'm sure theres some explanation to his absence and why these parts have taken this long.

And if you needed these parts right away, Jason had some stocks when I was buying mine that he offered to me on loan to keep my car running until his supplier came threw with his parts. I'm sure he would have done the same for you had you mentioned the urgency of his part.

Before everyone starts throwing accusations at each other, lets wait to hear from Jason... There's very few people that I know so little about like Jason, but would still honestly trust my life to. Call me crazy, but I trust the old bugger.

So can we

- Get the arms w/out the bushings plus some credit on the bushings.
- Get the arms and let us know what we need for bushings.
- Get a refund until you get the parts.

I know I was one of the last people to get in on this, but it's going on 5 months now for everyone else. I could put this money somewhere else right now.

Here is the latest update from Jrak:

"I apologize for my lack of communication on the matter with you and everyone involved. I will let you know that I have been in contact with many suppliers and it seems as though that the only company that has the parts available is www.speedwaymotors.com in which they have discontinued selling the product. I have been in communication with the sales reps. from speedway about making a consideration about ordering some just so I can close this GB. I have been going back and forth with them for some time now, a lot of phone tag has been going on with them on the matter. So I am sure I will get the parts in to complete the toe arms, I am just unsure about how much longer it's going to take to do such a thing."

Personally, I'll hold on and wait out as long as I can to get these despite him offering to refund me. I really just wanted to hear something on what's going on or a possible resolution on the elusive bushings.

Jrak is currently ignoring the board and any attempts at contacting him outside of showing up at his house or calling him.

We have some local mods who are trying to get his GB's and other parts issues with other members resolved.

Until we have a final answer I'm going to lock his threads.
