In the spirit of the season of giving, I thought I'd join Kev and give the Capital forum some new life.

I'd like to take this opportunity to showcase a few new additions to the "Dan G. Garage".

First off, we have an only ~slightly~ used Miller EconoTIG power source, complete with stick welding and TIG welding apparatus! The Dan G. garage is now a fully outfitted joint, capable of metal repair and fabrication!

The welder came with the stand, all I had to do was wire up a 220V/50A circuit and outlet from my 220V/60A subpanel I had installed in the garage. Then I added a 60CF bottle of Argon for TIGing, and away I went:

Oh, and there's something else, too.

Ready?

Are you sure?????

Okay:

Brand new, 2006 Cyclone Grey Metallic 6-speed GTO. With 18" rims. I couldn't stand it any more. I just had to since they stopped making them. I've been drooling over the Goat since it came back in '04... With the annual raise I picked up being a Beltway Bandit, it was a done deal.

Additional pictures, when I picked it up:

So.... Yeah... That's pretty much what's new with me... I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

Tough call.

From a dig? It's all Goat.

From a roll (yo)? It may be the Cougar's race, since it's lighter but with just as much (if not more) top-end.

The Cougar is now the "beater", if you will... I only drive the GTO on weekends or if something cool is going on.

I wasn't a big Fan of the New GTO, but that car looks sweet! I think you changed my mind.

Nice Welder too, I'd love to get a Tig.

NICE ... I'm saving for a Syncrowave 200 right now since the 250's just came out and 200 "runner" packages have dropped from the low $2,200's to the mid $1,800 now.

enjoy the goat dan. my best friend owns one with an exhaust and short throw. i just LOVE driving that car. its the same color as yours. i can truly say that the interior of the goat is nicest i've ever seen. its really comfortable, but holds u nicely in the turns. get some suspension going on her to get rid of the NASTY wheel hop on drag starts. dont do too many donuts now!!!!

Nice rides! I had decided that my next car would be a C5, but for the same price, I could have a new GTO. Tough call.

We should catch up sometime. It's been almost 3 years since I left NoVa.

i fell even more in love with the new GTOs when i saw a group of them at the Rock in October. Talk about sexy sound, and i like the new muscular look.

I went and looked at GTO's the other day. They were practically giving away the new ones. I wonder why this car never took off? I mean that thing will hit 12.9s with a good launch.
