wish i was home to help ya out, got a floor lift, thats how i got my engine, headers and exhaust done. you don't need it, but yeah it helps. you could just pull them with the car up on jackstands

What's there to F up! Just remove the O2 sensors before you do it and you should be fine. The hardest part is getting off the nuts on the Y-pipe.

when my ex did mine he just put the cat up on some jack stands, pulled the y pipe and voila! of course there was all the fun of actually hollowing out the pre cats but you know.

and since im not with him anymore maybe someone can answer this one for me.....

when i first start driving the car like say in the morning, and i gun it to pass someone i get this terrible smell. i know its exhaust that im smelling but would having gutted precats make it do that? and i mean it smells STRONG.

anyone have any idea?
my car doesnt have a resignator either so what do ya'll think

Does it smell like Sulfur? It might be your Main cat. Gutting mine didn't didn't make it smell funny.
