Whats up everybody. Got a question Im kinda on a toss up on what type of color to repaint my car. My cougars a 99 and its an ash gold color and im installing a drift bodykit unto it. Im thinking about painting it a gunmetal grey and putting on some black rims? What do yall think any suggestions. And if anyone has photoshop capabilities to give me an idea of what that might look like I would appericate it.

I don't care for black wheels on a dark gray car, but that's just a personal preferance thing. Gunmetal should look good.

There is a Photoshop Request subsection in Videos & Pictures. Someone there should be able to help you out.

Try looking up French Blue in CougarDB. That might give you a start in the blue department.

I was thinking black at first but changed my mind. Reason being that EVERYTHING shows up on it. From dirt to bird sh*t! What do you guys think about a burnt or sunrise orange?

Orange has been done by several cars already. There are several shades of dark blue that I really like. The Lotus color Magnetic Blue is one of them.

I think a black chrome or hyper black type finish would look good with the color.

Black chrome Focus wheels. (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/showthread.php?t=96051)

I wonder if you could send rims out to have them blued?

How about pearl white or pearl blue? Anyone have any idea of about how expensive that can be?

Gulfcat has a really mild white pearl .... look good ... but the pearl is so hard to pick up im not sure its worth it.... but thats just my opinion. Marge might tell ya what she paid for it... but she lives in Florida.

It all depends how much Peal you put in the clear coat, less you put, harder to see...

Thanks for the info. Do you guys know if there is a web site where you can look at diffrent paint colors to see which ones you like and obtain their codes? Or should I just go to a auto body shop

House of Kolors (http://www.hokpaint.com/scripts/depot.exe?pgm=hokgate.bbx) has online paint chips. I'm sure there are others, but I don't know what they are off hand. Just be aware that some of the colors are light sensitive (metallics and pearls especially) and that is hard to capture in a picture.

Doug Jenkins Hot Rod Shop, top quality work, but are probly a bit pricey for you. Theres some guys who just moved into my bosses warehouse who built a paintbooth, but I dont know what their quality is, or even what their company name is.
