I definately have to agree with NGK in almost any application, they make the best plugs by far IMO. You might want to check out the Iridium IX's though, the metal is the hardest electrode made and more conductive, in a FI situation you may want something like this to last a bit longer...
I use them in my Race Bike with N20 and they work far better than anything I've ever used! They're a little expensive, but worth it IMO!
BTW, did you get a chance to install that clutch and flywheel yet?

Autolite Double platinums (for stock application...my preferred plug due to cost/performance ratio)
Ford Double plats
NGK
Irridiums of different brands
You have a Vortec you may as well just keep stock plugs. Stock plugs with stock plug gap easily support 14psi on boosted 10:1 compression engines with stock ignition systems. You aren't going to be running any worse than that unless maybe you're seeing 10psi with no intercooler.
This has been proven on three different boosted 12-15psi 3L duratec engines.
Running one step colder will be fine in summer but cold climates it is not a good idea.
Before I start tuning I recommend the plug gap to be set at 0.045" on boosted cars and then we adjust if necessary up or down.

I dont have an intercooler, but I am running water/meth injection which seems to help greatly, for my application. On cold days I can see 14psi, but for the most part 11to 12. I actually got the NGKs already and love them. Thanks for all the input.
