for something around that price range you could proably get a single 12" with a amp sufficiant to power it. i cant exactly say what becasue i look more into paying 800$ for a good setup so i have never looked into the lower pricerange. so maybe someone else knows a bit more than me on that
just dont get a system by dual. lol.

Since you're on a budget, just look at getting a decent subwoofer setup. Do you have an aftermarket headunit? Budget for that also. You can find decent units that would suffice. Our stock speakers, in my opinion, are pretty good. I still have mine, and haven't had problems. They sound good too.

How about you buy my stuff? Two Pioneer 12" subs, a Pioneer 760 watt amp, and a box, all in perfect condition, I will have it on the way to you for $300 including shipping.

Looking for something similar aswell. But i also need to replace my door speakers, run an amp for them, want to get dual 12"s and i don't need a head unit. I'm going headless:eek: . Going straight from the pc in the gloved box, to a 4 channel amp, or i'm considering 6 channels with 2 additional speakers in the cargo cover (Maybe). And i'm hoping to atleast get the subs and sub amp in the car for 300 or 400cdn. And am expecting to pay the same for the door speakers and amp. Any suggestions? I was pretty impressed by the Infinity subs that were demonstrated to me at future shop, running only at 300watts, half the rms. And they pumped! And they were only 10s!
Anyone got an suggestions? I've heard check the local ads for someone selling of their system. But haven't had a look yet...

Yes, buy my stuff!
You might consider Infinity Basslink.
its less than 300 bucks...
it fits in small places and puts out great bass.
it includes the sub and the amp built into a one compact unit.

i believe thats what it was, the basslink. I'm pretty sure they were dual 10s with about 300watts rms each. So the demo they could only power the two subs to 150watts rms each...

The Basslink is ONE powered sub at 300 watts, and one passive radiator. :)

The basslink 2 has three I thought. With onboard 4 channel amp. Def worth whatever it costs.

I'm positive it was a basslink with duals in it. I remembered seeing the basslink logo between the two subs. But i'm looking to get something in the 900watts rms range... And am willing to spend abit if i have to... Browsing ebay constantly to find a deal on something, and i know to avoid the "ebay specials" that some sellers push as the greatest thing since sliced bread. I was talking about some of the ideas i had for my stereo, and this guy says, "Oh ya, thats nothing compared to my system." So i ask him what he has, expecting something respectable atleast. He was running dual audiobahn subs and amps, something like 2000watts peak. I haven't heard to many good things about audiobahn... But i've also never heard them so don't know... I like it when people talk smack and dont have a clue what they're saying... I don't claim to know everything, but i know enough to avoid certain brands and to look for certain specs.

Chrome means stay away when it comes to car audio. lol. All the knockoff brands use flashy chrome. Looks good, but they're just hiding somethin. lol Ya, i'm sure it has some good punch. But then again, my dual 12s i have running in my home stereo at 100watts each punch pretty good and they're generic no-name crap, but they bass they produce isn't nice and crisp like a friend of mine who has a similar setup, but pioneer subs. It's just like sony xplod, ya they sound ok, and better than stock, until the explode.

stock everything except for the computer that i have running through the stereo. Just need some time to buy and install a system... But lots of people at mp3car.com suggest to steer clear of audiobahn. And mp3car.com is mainly audio+computers. So they're not just talkin out their asses. Most of them know from experience of actually owning them.

I'm not a car audio guy at all, but I can think of at least two companies that would beat on Audiobahn all day and all night in SPL.
