yeah yeah yeah
I sent Cody a message asking what day works for him - if he's still interested in driving down. I was going to wait to start a new thread, but think I will do it now anyway ;)
and thinking there will be more NorCal/AZ guys than NW:loser:
I dont really have space to have anyone stay with me, so anyone coming from out of town might have to spring for a hotel room. :(
I'll post up a link to my NW post in a few

Take the bus to Firebaugh and rise up with nene :) Or better yet if we can get solid dates, grab joe and Henry, then Caravan up to firebaugh or meet nene somewhere along the way. Early dates make easier vacation days to get off..;)

Take the Bus?!?! I'd rather walk!
Getting So-Cal people together to do anything is impossible, don't you know that Ty? ;)

i dont think my car is going to be ready for this trip i need to put it in the shop to get it fixed

As long as insurance isn't a problem then it's cool. I just have to get my window fixed, and get the weekend off of work.

I hate to be a party pooper, again, but I don't think I am going to be able to make the meet this time. I really can't afford to ask for three working days in a row off for a recreational activity, especially since I just came back to my job from a long absence. Sorry vick, I guess I shouldn't have said anything in the first place, I just kind of blurted out the idea because it sounded good at the time.

Hey question for you Nor Cal guys. What's the posted speed limit on I-5 from the Oregon Border to Bakersfield? Also how active are the cops on that paticular stretch of the road?
Bigoudi
11-16-2006, 04:26 PM
70MPH most of I-5

$%&# means f'ing spotter aircraft and a radar detector won't do anything.
But good to hear its 70.....means I could do about 78 to 80 and be safe.

Yep..If you have a good eye, you can cruise a little faster. Just be cautious

When I went up there was a ton of police activity going down the grapevine. After that I didn't see a single cop and cruised at 80ish just to keep the IMRC closed and fuel consumption down. But on the way back I just wanted to get home so I went at a steady (yet risky) 100mph and didn't see a single cop the entire time.
The problem with driving up during the day is not just that it feels like it takes longer but there is more traffic and slow moving vehicles.
