nope, it wont work around out oil pan.

im not sure, but i think you might have a clearance problems where it covers and goes underneath the car. check out zxtuner.com, they have the svt headers that can be used on the cougar and its alot cheaper. just thought id mention that.

i dont think that will fit either...the top half will but the bottom will still hit our oil pan...
i am not sure if we can swap oil pans with zx2 or focus....if we can then either option will work...

Buy it anyway. If it doesn't route around the oil pan, just buy a focus pan from a junkyard or used parts dealer.
Edit: Ebay header looks like an ok deal.

Are the oil pans indeed a DIRECT swap then?
i have never seen the inside of either...are there different oil pick ups or routing?

I can take some pics of the bottom end of a Focus ZX3 next time I have it in the garage if that will help you out.

we still dont know if the zx3 or zx2 oil pan will bolt up directly to our cougar.

hey buff i am curious to know how it was modified?
it looks and sounds expensive from what i can pictur that needs to be done...plus there is one too many O2 bungs...but that i would assume is the least of the worries...
do you have pics of the modified one you have seen...

don't have pics. the guy used to be a cooga member. i saw it at fest 04. I wanna say he just modified the piping somehow.... not completely sure. but I do remember specifically it was a focus header because it was right when the zxtuner came out with theirs, and he had had his header on for a few months already.
