So I have done quite a few mechanical mods to my car, not it's about time to start working on the interior and exterior.

Paint ideas:

Well I like the silver frost, but I want to add to it and I am torn on color choices. I am getting a Kaminari hood, I have a drift kit and Z3 fenders.

I was thinking about keepin the main part of the body Silver frost because I really like the color. Then I was thinking I would add to it with either a candy blue(like an anodized blue type of color). Or my other idea was to go with a high metalic dark grey.

The scheme for the paint is as follows:

I am going to do the typical painting of the center of the hood, roof, and trunk lid. Then maybe paint in the the center parts of the vents as well with the accent color, or maybe a little bit lighter then the accent color and then have it fade out of the vents into the silverfrost. Then for the spoiler(a stock '99) I have been thinking about shaving it off all together, but not sure how that would look with the drift kit. SO if I do keep it... I was thinking that I would paint the center section of it the accent color and then the side left in silver frost.

Thoughts? input?

Sorry dude no ideas, but sounds like it'll be perty good...maby photoshop can help create a visual for you, I'd to it for you but that would get you no where, because I suck using the program. I think shaving the spoiler would look perty cool and still flow with the car, different and that can be a good thing too.

i like the idea of the metalic dark grey better then the blue.

blue and silver look ok but are to cold and drastic, if u go the grey it will look sleek.....

and maybe someone could photoshop the two colors onto ur car in the design u want

I think you should accent the silver with Vista Blue

Do you have any photoshop versions of your idea? It's kind of hard to visualize.

Personally, I think the best looking "two tone" paint schemes on a Cougar are when the stock lines are utilized. A few people have done combo colors by doing top half one color, bottom half another, seperating the colors with the stock lines of the car. It's hard to describe.

I like the dark grey idea better than the blue. ;)

I also prefer the grey/silver combo over the blue. You gotta make the cat look tough, plus, if you're into CF then its just gotta match that colour scheme even more.

Eh.. no C/F for me it will all be painted stuffs. So I guess Silverfrost and Dark Metalic Grey for the interior and exterior it is. Time to talk to Matty poo about some photochoppage.

go with DSG and rock the stock colors

if you 2 tone the car silver on the bottom and grey on the top think about doin the kam hood a la phantom and fade the silver back into the middle of the hood. i wouldnt mess with the vents on the Z3 since they are so small of an area to work with

So far(thanks Matt) This is some of what I have planned and I know a lot of people have done the same thing, but what the hell else are you supposed to do? I have some ideas for the sides but I have to work them all out when I get the time.
