Original price on these is $90.00 and we would like to give them to you for $65.00 shipped for the pair. The mirror caps have a great fit, they look awsome when they are applied over the mirrors. For application you simply take off the back of the double side tape and set them to how you see fit. I'll put 20 of them up for sale and please just add your name if you would like a set.
You can send payment to topshop@santel.net or give me a call and I can take your info that way too. Toll Free- 1-877-996-8508

Thanks

The mirror caps have a great fit

By looking at your pictures that is not the case. Of course, I also own a set of these, and they fit like total crap. Mine are a good 1/8 to a 1/4 inch too small all around the edges. I was told to send pics, which I did, and I never got a reply. (This was a year and a half ago.) I am pulling them off this year and going with something different, because that is the #1 thing on my exterior that I hate.

I know you make good products, however I do not feel this is one of them, sorry.

Same situation here. I got mine in the original group buy, and they fit terrible. Perhaps you have refined your process?

Well I didn't work here a year and half ago and if you had a problem. If you would like to send those photos one more time and let me see them. Since I have been here we have not had a problem with these. I have sold many pairs of them.So if you are still upset about them give me a PM, don't come in and say our products are crap.
Thanks You.

If you have bad fitment and you didn't like them you could have sent them back and we would have sent you another pair. You Alll know how we work we don't shy away from our customer and more often than not we will work with you when a problem occurs.

I'm more than a little dismayed at your initial response. I did not say your products were crap, I said this product fits like crap.

If you have bad fitment and you didn't like them you could have sent them back and we would have sent you another pair.

I sent an email with photos, the initial reply I got was (direct from the email) "I do not see a problem with the fit of these". So I took different pictures, at multiple angles and sent them in, showing the HUGE gap that was left (which stuck out like a sore thumb against my blue paint). I never got a response, so I struck it up as a loss. (In the original group buy there were concerns of the fit, but my answer to that was something along the lines of, "Hell, its $50, I'm game for that price".)

I do not want replacements, because as I said I am replacing them when I repaint my car this year again. But your original post said they have a great fit, which many users have proven is not the case. I am going for truth in advertising here, bud, you're attitude in that response only further bolsters my point.

just make complete replacements topshop and be done with it

from your initial post, the first pic posted you can see the rough edges and you can see the fitment issue on the side closest to the car

the fitment might be great but the look should also compliment

These are not a wrapped part and will not be a full replacement. They do fit well on the mirrors that we have here.Maybe it's in the way you apply them to the mirrors. We have sold many cf cap for cougar mirrors, they are designed to cover only the painted part on the mirror.
The list is still open for a set of 2 for $65.00.

This is what people are talking about:

http://www.newcougar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=26857&stc=1&d=1161379601

Not exactly show quality fitment. But for the price this is what you'll get. Perhaps rolling the edges or as someone said, make complete replacements, to avoid issues like that in the future.

scrupul0us
10-20-2006, 07:15 PM
its not like the stock caps dont come off... all youd need todo is make a small mold to lay the CF on and put 2 metal clips in base to mimis the ones on the stock caps... and as JS said, roll the edges... aside from that they are great looking... but im one of those kinda people that fret over the minute details... otherwise id pick a set up

EternalOne

Maybe it's in the way you apply them to the mirrors.

Considering I spent 6 months doing bodywork I did not just slap these on my car in 5 seconds. I had to move these around until I could cover the most area, and go with it, since at that point the whole car was painted, except the mirrors. They quite literally are too small, and it's not just me.

Sorry for the crappy images, but they were taken on my Treo in the dark garage.

This shows how the curve on my set is off, and forces one edge WAY out close to the car. It also is very short in the spot.

http://www.rumodded.com/images/eternalone/img106.jpg

View from above (even though it blurry you can tell where the gap is. And if you look close you can see on the left side where the gap continues.

http://www.rumodded.com/images/eternalone/img107.jpg

Even more blurry, yet you can clearly see where the CF is not close to the cap.

http://www.rumodded.com/images/eternalone/img108.jpg

Of course, you don't have to take my word for it, here's what Wade's looks like. That is pretty much exactly like mine, as well...

http://www.extremesoundonline.com/cougar/cap6.jpg

Now, let me clarify. These were from the first run group buy -- and its very possible this issue has been fixed. However, until someone tells me they received a perfect fitting set with photos to back it up, I feel this information should be in the open when the product is advertised as having a great fit.

@E1: exactly... seems to me if u are pushing a line of product that "had" fitment issues and that you now claim fit "great" youd have some quality photos to back this up...

not to bash topshop but just from what we've seen it warrants some sort of reassurance

they fit pretty good.... there was about an 1/8 inch gap on the front and back, but it fit good. I ran a bead of silicone and cleaned it up with my finger to blend them together, now it looks great in my opinion.

Ada Boy!
Definitly an option for everyone to do if fitment is off alittle these don't fit perfect but they do fit pretty good for a cover. Your not going to get perftect without a custom wrap of them.
Thanks
