First off I’m having problems with the alt again. I have a cigarette lighter that tells me how the charge in the car is doing and it acts really weird. Some times when I'm driving the green light will be on with an orange light flickering really fast. I floor it at when I get in a high enough rpm anywhere from 4K till 6K the battery light will kick on and the lighter goes to red. Other time I will be driving and the lights will go back and forth from green to orange and the CEL that I have with blink with the lights. I don’t floor it under these conditions because it can not be good for the car. What do you guys think can it be the alt already or what? Don’t know if any of you want to stop but some time and help take a look at it. Tuesday I am off and will check the connections and grounds.

Second is you all know that I’m work at best buy in the audio department and want to let you all know about some things we got going. If anyone wants a 4 channel amp that puts out 75 Watts RMS made by Rockford let me know we got one that I can let go for 125 if I remember right. Also I’m going to sell the speakers that I have in my car, Right now I have the Rockfords that sound great, plenty of bass how ever when I get the alt/battery light fixed I will be running 2 alpine Type R so I’m going to go with an infinity component in front and probably type R's in that back

It can be a few things... it can be the alt, or some of its connections... But the high RPM failure is normally the alt itself not working as it should. Take the car to the auto zone you baught the alt from and have a test run... They normaly only want you to rev and stay at about 2k i think but tell them whats up... /shrug.

i will try that because I had both tested the battery they said was fine with a high charge of 15.X but the alter was at 79 I think. then again that was only at 2K
