Does anyone know of a decent place (and reasonably priced) I can go to and get my gauges installed on my pillar....I just don't seem to have the time to do it myself and I'm getting kinda annoyed that They are just sitting in a box right now.
They're Vacuum and Oil Pressure gauges and are both mechanical. The Oil Pressure is more the dilema for me.
Cheers,
Eric

I wouldn't want a Mechanical Oil pressure gauge inside my car. Especially pointed right at my face.

I know....I've heard all the arguments for and against...Reason I went with the mechanical is because they are know to be more accurate, and they are more reliable...And yea, if its not installed properly, it could be a bit messy, but thats another reason why I dont' want to attempt it myself.
Another reason for the mechanical is; when someone tries to sell me the less expensive model of something, I am more prone to listen to them. The electronic was about $50 more, and the guy said not to bother with it. He took less commish to get me the right product. Having been in sales...I respect that tremendously!!!!
So....any good install places?

I'd be more worried about being in an accident than it not being installed correctly. It's not as bad as a fuel pressure gauge, but still not something i would recommend. Plus you have to run a oil line up your A pillar, much harder than a couple of wires. I just bought an electronic oil pressure gauge from summit, it wasn't that much more than the mechanical one.
I'm sure any performance shop could do it. Try Dasilva Racing, they are on Kingston Road in Scarborough.

if you dont use your ash try i sell a guage bezel that goes in place of it, then you could get some more guages, like a volt since you have that massive system
and it wouldnt be that hard to run the line up the a pilar. Its going to be coming from just underneath the TB and you could run it through the firewall where the wiring harness runs through, out the drivers side of the dash and up the pilar. the hard part is, i dont know how flexible the tubing is going to be to get into there b/c i know the wires were a PITA

Hmmm...something to consider...thanks for the heads-up. Is it just the ashtray or does the power outlet have to be removed too? Right now, I use the ashtray for receipts and access cards. It's quite convenient!!! lol
My radio deck already has a volt meter display option. Volt meter was something I looked at getting actually before I got the my system.
The tubing is a nylon type and is quite flexible, so it shouldn't be hard to run...Some one suggested using copper tubing, but I'm not keen on that idea, expecially in winter and its suseptibility to contraction and briddleness.

it looks like this (http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b379/jaged/mtang/finishedguages.jpg)
you have to cut out the ashtray and the ciggy plug, but that goes back into the bezel

You wouldn't happen to have it in Billet Aluminum would ya?
Edit: If so, let me know how much...Thats something that wouldn't hurt to have laying around in case I ever change my mind about my set up.
