WTB: 99-02 Damaged/Cheap Cougar

Looking for a v6 cougar, trying to find something looking good preferably with low mileage.

Requirements:
5 speed
moonroof (i think)
v6 (even if its shot)

Bad motor would be ideal in that i have a spare 2.5 in my garage that is in perfect condition.

Would like to find one in decent shape with either a spun bearing or blown diff, even one that needs a clutch or body work would be alright... In short trying to find a good buy for less money

Shooting for under 3k but we'll see. Let me know if you have any ideas.

i have an 02 that needs a few engine parts. runs just doesnt go over 50. needs body work, kit was ripped off. it has all the things you are lookin for. moonroof, low miles (47000) and its a v6 mtx. i'll take some snap shots for you monday. price wise tryin to get what i still owe for it... $5500

only thing is i live in nj

You're also a long ways off and i don't want to put a v6 in a 4 cylinder model it would need to be a v6 originally

i got a 2001 mercury cougar with 77,000 km on it (plus extended warenty), V6 2.5L and 5 speed transmition, leather interior, and fully loaded but has been sitting for a year cuz.... last year i rolled the car once suffering only front end body damage that could be fixed or used as a parts car, if i put it through insurance i pretty much couldnt afford to drive so took the loss and just trying to get rid of the whole car now, or will part out the engine or tranny all seperate. damage includes: 2 front fenders, front of each door, hood, both mirrors, drivers head light, windshield, driver window, passenger rear window and front part of the roof, i got pictures on request, would take much if someone wanted to strip it and re-do it with after market parts, the car still runs perfect and was a sharp looking car. im located in central ontario between north bay and ottawa, open to reasonable offers on whole car or drive train. email me at darb454@hotmail.com ( i dont check the forums too often)

that's a little spendy for one with that kind of body damage in my opinion, are you talking $3000 canadian? Either way it would be a heck of a long way to bring home here to minnesota, and trying to explain myself going through customs would probably be interesting lol

I drive to school 50 miles both ways 5 days a week. Has been to NJ and back a few times as well as CT. The tranny needs work but drives. Car has a functioanl sunroof. Black leather seats with cougar emblem. Panasonic Deck, 4: 3 way6x8 Rockford fosgate Competion interios with 4 chome crossovers and tweeters.

i have a 2000 black mtx. Needs very lil Body works. I asked around at a cheaper body man here in town, he would repair it for $476 so... anyway... My motor started knocking recently. I have a newer tranny, new clutch. needs a new Cd player. Sunroof works good, everything power. 89k on odom. 78-80k on motor. I dont have the time or money to fix it. So im asking $2500 obo
