I blew up my engine! The link in my signature is a video that shows what my engine is doing currently.

So now I have to ship it to Michigan (I live in Western Illinois) and have the new 3L I was hoping to finish over the winter put in. It sucks because I just started a new job so money's supertight right now until I start banking commission at the end of October, so its a really, REALLY horrible time for this to happen.

Otherwise things are ok I s'pose.

This is the reason I was thinking of buying a second (fast) car and just not modify my STi anymore. When I say second fast car, I don't mean a project. I mean I new car. And enjoy the STi as it is...

But oh well... I have several thousand $$ worth of parts sitting in my garage waiting to do something. So we shall see.

If you don't mind me asking what type of job did you get?? Congrats on a new job either way.

I recently left my "real" career path working in New York City and got a new job doing something not as "glorified" but at least I make more money.

I'm going to get "some" of the suspension stuff installed... I have so many things to do, not everything will get done. The engine mods I will hold off.

I'll bring my turbo along and you can see my P&P job I did on the exhaust housing... I did the turbine inlet and outlet, and the Wastegate.

Here's some of what I have to get installed:

-Beatrush Driveshaft Prop Shaft mount kit
-Beatrush Front lower bar (control arm support)
-Beatrush Rear Diff mount
-Whiteline Anti-Lift kit (Confort)
-Whiteline Steering Rack Bushings
-Kartboy Front and Rear solid endlinks
-Kartboy Shifter Bushings
-TiC Rear Diff Bushing set
-Cusco V2 Lower support bar

and maybe more... I don't even remember... I also have the engine upgrades like the Big MAF intake, Turbo, Injectors, fuel pump, fuel rails, etc...

I'm crazy...

You're almost as crazy as I am . . . almost . . . I have this crackpot scheme to squeeze at least 270 FWHP (and truth be told, I'm hoping for 300 FWHP) out of the Cougar . . . without any forced induction. :crazy: Oh and its gonna be my daily driver too. :crazy:

I took a job in sales with US Cellular, its much, MUCH better then my previous job with Cingular, but I don't start getting the real money until the commission checks start rolling in, and my base wage is barely covering my current bills and ****. Once the commission check drops I'll be much better off though.

I now work in a car dealership. Luckily enough I got a promotion soon after I started here, and my base got bumped already. I'm the Internet Sales Manager here, but since I just started at the position, I'm not set up for full pay rates yet on the commission (still make sellers commission)... so I gotta kill myself for a little longer, when I finally get changed over.

Commissions are nice, but the inconsistencies suck... at least I'm busy all year 'round.

Hmmmm... 300hp NA... good luck with that. I hope it works out (or atleast gets close).

What I really need to do is get my ass back to school and finish my degree. Ironically though I'm now going to be working less hours, I'm going to make more, possibly considerably more, money, so going back to school should be pretty easy in a couple months when I'm caught back up on bills and shizz.

Of course, having to pull together the money to finish the new engine and then trailering the damn car to Michigan ain't helpin matters either. :disgust:

300 is a big, big goal . . . but I think it can be done . . . hopefully its at least in the ballpark. Its going to be an engine like no other on NECO, thats for damn sure.

Finishing School is always a good idea. I have my degree, and was working in New York City for a National Media Rep firm doing National Radio Advertising sales. It was fun and good... but after all was said and done with commuting and whatnot, I was dead and poor (well not poor, but you get the idea).

So I came over to car sales, and already make a bunch more money. However I wouldn't sell my Degree for all the money in the world.

Now my weeks are all screwy, so it could be next week, or not for a few weeks.

I can't comment on that (though I have an idea who that may be)... but remember, customers and dealerships have their own sides to a story... always the little guy vs. the big guy... The truth is somewhere in between the stories.

Not saying this was the case here...but people always leave out what good we did do for them, and they follow up by trying to get more and more, and then complain when we won't bend anymore... what response would you give to them?

I'm gonna email this to my bosses...

No dealership has a perfect record... but I can say, according to Chrysler we are in the top 7% of dealerships for sales and service.
