Today was on my way to work i was at the stop light on riverside ave, just off Hwy 94 east. Well the light turned green and i start to go when a taxi cab slammed into my passenger side door, he ended up pushing my car to where i hit a street light pole. I ended up walking way with a dislocated shoulder (dont know how that happened) and a huge cut on my right arm from the glass, got 4 stitches. :disgust:. I am so pissed about the bastard running the red light and fcking up my cougar, i will be out of the coug for a while, i am now stuck driving a freakin rental van from my dealer ship that smells like crap. I dont even know what the cost of damages is, i didnt even pay attention i have my dad taking care of that part cuz i am just sooo pissed. I almost want to go show up at the dudes house and bang his head in for what he did to my baby. Oh and to top it off when the cops came and the ambulance he tryed saying it was my fault and that i was the one running the red light when the people behind me seen what happened stayed and waited for the cops to come and they told them what happened.

the only good thing that came out of this is the pain killers lol, and all i will say is wow they work wonders and i have 2 refills  i am going to use these well

yes the painkillers really are the silver lining.

really sorry to hear about the car, and your very lucky some of the witnesses were willing to wait around for the cops to confirm the story.

Dislocated shoulder 'eh? Did it pop right back in or did the ER have to do it? Hurts like a bitc# doesn't it? I think I've popped her out at least 70 times now and EVERY time hurts like no other. Are you going to have to have arthroscopic shoulder surgery? I've had two arthroscopies and one full out open shoulder reconstruction.

Anyways, those painkillers, which are opiates, are my drug of choice (heroin). Be careful, that sh#t can sneak up on you. Whatever you do, when the rx's run out, do NOT try to get more or you'll be going down the wrong path and it gets harder and harder to get back on track. Then, before you know it, you're hooked.

That totally sucks about your cougar. You should sue the sh%t out of that guy (I'm guessing he was somali) and/or his cab company. I'm glad you came out with only a dislocated shoulder and a cut and not paralyzed or dead.

ER did it on the spot, and omg i never felt this kind of pain in my life, i will admit i had tears in my eyes. I dont know i have a doc apt tomorrow at 8am at St johns. They had me in there after the accident but i was in a such a bad mood i wanted out and didnt want anything to do with them, so they let me go as long as i did the aptment at that time so they could see me right away. And ever since i been home i been trying to sleep and i cant get a spot to fall asleep in cuz of my shoulder and my arm hurting so much.

Yes it was a somali, and he owns his own Taxi cab but he works for Green and White (i think thats what it is called) i already been in contact with his insurance company and mine, and i now have a lawyer ( my cousin's soon to be husband). We are going to go after him for my doc bills since i dont have insurance yet ( will Oct 1st lol) and for my car to get totaly fixed. Alot of crap ahead of me, and right now my car is sittting at one of the places i work (Insurance Auto Auctions St paul) one of the guys i called was nice enought to get my car and bring it there so nothing happens to it. I love nice people

Yeah, bud, I'd say you're feeling pretty damn good from those painkillers:rofl:

Dislocating your shoulder is the MOST painful thing you can do to your body. They'll probably have you get an MRI and I am guessing they'll recommend either physical therapy or surgery. Let me know how it goes.

BTW - everybody MUST see Jackass 2

TOUCHE! Great funny-assed movie! I am sorry to hear about your car jeff! I would be pissed off too, but i am glad that you came out ok. Do you think that your car will be repairable? I know that when i had my jetta fixed up, over 9 grand in repairs, it wasnt the same, i dont care what someone says... it just isnt. Glad you are ok!

Yes these things are working great, i swear to god i felt like i was floating when i was laying in bed yesturday, i love this feeling.

I had some scan done on me today, took a long ass time to do i was getting annoyed by it and some buzzing sound it made, i forget the name of the scan. Hell i forget the name of my doctor right now. But the doctor wants me to do physical therapy because of something to do with how my left arm seems to be some what bigger then my right one right now and he thinks thats i may have something on my left side thats is causing it. I will have more test done later today i just got to come home now to take a rest before i have to go back.

Oh and another thing is i got a quote back from my car its going to cost around 3-5grand to get fixed, my car vaule is at 8grand from what they say so its not a total, thx god i think. Well i want my car still but i just hope there is no on going problems after this all gets fixed. Oh and that was from one body shop so far the insurance people from his side want 3 different quotes, one from ours that we picked, and 2 from theirs and we go from there. Oh and we have a court hearing coming up as soon as i am well enought to go i just have to get a call to some lady and she will sched one asap.

so ya i am going to go lay down now

yeah, that feeling, I know it all too well. wanna know what heroin is like? take that feeling, multiply it by ten and you'll only be kind of close to how it feels. heroin is the perfect yin-yang, it is pure heaven and pure hell.

Here is my favorite poem about heroin called "Take me in your arms"

"So now, little man, you've grown tired of grass
LSD, cocaine and hash,
when someone, pretending to be a true friend,
said, "I'll introduce you to Miss Heroin."

Well honey, before you start fooling with me,
just let me inform you of how it will be.

I will seduce you and make you my slave,
I've sent men much stronger than you to their graves.
You think you could never become a disgrace,
and end up addicted to Poppy seed waste.

You'll start inhaling me one afternoon,
then take me into your arms very soon.
Once I've entered deep down in your veins,
The craving will nearly drive you insane.

You'll swindle your mother just for a buck.
You'll turn into something vile and corrupt.
You'll mug and you'll steal for my narcotic charm,
and only feel content when I'm in your arms.

The day, you realize the monster you've grown,
you'll solemnly swear to leave me alone.
If you think you've got that mystical knack,
then sweetie, just try getting me off your back.

The nausea, the cramps, your guts tied in knots.
Your jangling nerves screaming for one more shot.
The hot chills, cold sweats and withdrawal pains,
can only be eased by my little white grains.

There's no other way, there's no need to look,
for deep down inside you know you are hooked.
You'll desperately run to the pusher and then,
you'll welcome me back to your arms once again.

And you will return just as I foretold!
I know that you'll give me your body and soul.
You'll give up your morals, your conscience, your heart.
And you will be mine until, "Death Do Us Part"

well bad news is i have surgery coming tomorrow. I am really scared, never been put out and gone under the knife before. Is this normal? its almost like i want to dip out and just live with this pain. I dont know my this scares me so much lol, other then i HATE needles and dont want to wake up to a IV sticking in me... But ya John i sent ya a PM about this lol

Thanks all i am doing well. Our insurance companies acutally worked out a deal on getting my car fixed, but the insurance bills are another thing and i believe that will be settled in court. My car will be going to Kiss Auto Body (In Newport,MN 5minutes from my house) and will be getting fixed there.

Dude, you didn't call me.

Shoulder surgery sucks. It is the most painful surgery you can have. You will be in a hardcore sling/shoulder immobilizer for at least 4 weeks, then you'll be in a sling for another couple weeks.

They will be doing an Interscalene brachial plexus block. This is the worst part of the surgery. They will be sticking a needle that is about 6 inches long into the base of your neck and injecting bupivicaine (most-likely) this sucks. They will be giving you Versed and Fentanyl  :smoke-g: make sure they load you cup nice and good. Fentanyl is the most potent opiate/painkiller. It's good stuff. After they do the block, you will be put under general anaesthesia. When you wake up, they will either be giving you oral painkillers (percocet most-likely) or IV morphine or fentanyl  Then in a couple hours you get to go home, unless you are having open shoulder surgery then you will have to stay overnight in the hospital. I am almost positive they will be doing arthroscopic shoulder surgery as opposed to open shoulder surgery.

Arthroscopic shoulder surgery is where they make three small incisions and go in with a small camera and small tools. Then they repair it that way. Open shoulder surgery is self-explanatory.

After the surgery, you will be in a lot of pain. It hurts. This is when the post-surgery painkillers (hopefully they give you oxycodone (Percocet) instead of hydrocodone (Vicodin)) Perc's are much stronger. After a few days, the sharp pain subsides, and the most uncomfortable thing is the sling they make you wear.

All in all, it sucks. But, it is better than the alternative. If you don't have surgery now, you WILL dislocate your shoulder again sooner than later. Then it will keep popping out and you will have to have surgery. The sooner you have the surgery with the least amount of dislocations (for you, you've only had one dislocation) the better the outcome will be. You don't want to do what I did - 18 shoulder dislocations before my first surgery.

Also, make sure you do the physical therapy.

Good luck

Hope it went well man, and pay attention to your physical therapy! It's painful but you'll get through it. And the better you work in therapy, the less long-term effects you'll have. Good luck bud!

wait you say at home??? WTF they want me to do it with them, they never said anything about being able to do it at home.

Last i heard about my car was it was getting ready to go in for paint, and that was like 2-3 days ago. All i know is they are trying to get the color to match the rest of the car so i wont have one bright ass yellow area and the rest dull yellow from the weather. I am trying to get pictures from the Insurance company but American Family Insurance seems to find it hard on calling me back alot

If you don't do physical therapy here is what happens:
1) You get what is called a "frozen shoulder." This means that you lose a TON of your range of movement (ie; can't lift your arm above your head).
2) You will lose a HUGE amount of strength in your arm (ie; muscle atrophy). Basically, your muscles start to degenerate and will almost disappear.
3) You have a MUCH higher chance of dislocating your shoulder in the future. Do you want to have surgery again???

Like Nike says, "Just do it."
