Has anyone ever heard of or used an Alfa Otto Short shifter ?
This is from their website :
"99-2002 MERCURY COUGAR V6 SHORT SHIFTER/SHIFT KNOB SET-FEATURES 1-PIECE DESIGN --ENGINEERED AS A DIRECT BOLT-IN REPLACEMENT, COMPLETE WITH INTEGRATED SHIFT KNOB -AIRCRAFT QUALITY ALUMINUM BEARING MOUNT,WITH A CNC MACHINED T-303 STAINLESS STEEL SHAFT -THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE SHIFTER HAS BEEN COUNTER BALANCED TO A PRODUCE SMOOTHER OPERATION"
I tried searching but I couldn't find anything.
Thanks

dunno but when I added it to my basket on their website to see a price it said "wholesale/business only" but it looks preety! I'd like to see how they put the lower ball in! If it was cheaply wleded in like the B&M that broke on me... or if it was riveted in like stock!

I've had one for about 6 months and havent had a problem with it... i think i ended up paying about 15 dollars shipped for it so I really didnt expect it to last this long. I believe the ball was welded but i dont remember. I didnt like the knob on it so i've just kept my stock knob on it. Other than that... had i had the money i would have gotten the B&M but I havent had trouble(yet).

I got mine off ebay... i believe it was from procarparts 6$ BIN and 9$ shipping. Mine was for a 4cyl tho so i picked the focus shifter with no problems.

All Cougar's and 99-02.5 Foci use the same shifter.

It looks like a good shifter if you can't get your hands on a used B&M or Fidanza shifter.
