Not sure if this should go here but i figured id give it a shot...

Some jerk decided it would be funny to take a clipper and clip off my antenna pretty much AT the base..... I cant get the old one out with plyers or anything... so i geuss i gotta order a new base? Anyone happen to know the part number for the base? And how to replace it? Im pretty sure if you take out the interior dome lights u can unscrew it from there... but not 100 percent positive...

Thanks!

you are correct on installation, you remove the interior dome piece to remove the antenna base. cost you $6.39 plus shipping from Bill J at teamford

it takes a small torx bit and a large one, not sure on the sizes though. you can get one from your local dealer for $8-9

Why do you need to replace the base?

Where exactly is it clipped at? Is the threaded part broken off? I bet someone just grabbed it and snapped it off.

OIC it is clipped where the antenna and base meet.

Wow find that guy and thank him for not keying your car or something worse... Because $9 is a lot better than a huge scrape going all the way down your car... then beat him up

Follow the above advice it you threads are broken off form your mast. I had this happen when I bought a chrome antenna that was not flexible and my friend was trying to be nice and brush the snow off my car. Easy fix.

u might just want to get a small set... i use torx everyday and im shure that u will use it more than you think IMO but i guess u really dont need to.

Buy a set of left handed screwdrivers, a muffler berring, and a kanuter valve and you will be ready to rock. J/K

Take it slow, read old posts, and use the boards for any questions and you will be fine.
