Forums under new ownership ...

I wanted to let you all know that I have recently sold the site to Vertical Scope (VS), the group that runs Autoforums.com. As most of you old-timers know, my spare time dedicated to running the site has been very limited due to my increased workload at work and in my personal life. I haven’t been able to maintain the site it in the way it deserves, or in the way you members deserve. I think the new group will give it the TLC it deserves and will be much more responsive to issues that arise from daily use. They have a vast number of resources and their tech group is a bunch of auto enthusiasts as well.

VS isn’t planning any major changes and are only really taking over the technical duties at this point in time. They are also welcoming the current moderator and admin staff with open arms and I, too, will be sticking around as an admin. So this isn’t goodbye for me, it’s just a turnover of control for the better of the community.

Our new tech contact will be a gentleman by the name of Nadeem who will be using the handle “administrator”. He will me monitoring everything moving forward.

With all that said, I want to thank you all for being the best group of car owners around! This community is definitely unique and the last 11 years have been great! I appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm and commitment, and am looking forward to an even better community moving forward.

My interest have change since I sold the Cougar. Rest assured, I will remain an Admin here, but my server management duties have been replaced by a group of server admins at Vertical Scope, freeing a lot of my time. There is a lot involved behind the scenes with running the forums that people don't know about: Patches, updates, server admin, user account approval, etc.

indeed, Melissa! Having this car and meeting people from this forum has changed my life - crazy to think about how a small little forum about one little car has had such an impact! All the great people, the modification how-to's, parts info, what works, what doesn't, and Cougarfest meets.. its been great!

Thanks for the kind words Melissa and Matt ... it has been a great labor of love for many of us here. This community is awesome and will continue to thrive. The new admin group will bring more stability in the coming days as the server is migrated to their server farm.
