Search and you'll find your answer, what has to be done has been covered many times before.

Re: READ THIS FIRST - WHAT ENGINES WILL FIT MY CAR?

How about the 3.0 L V6 used in the Mondeo ST220 I think it's call the Duritec st, Will that work in the cougar? Oh and I know someone said the mazda 6 engine would work but I can't find any one who has done it, What's the deal with it?

Re: READ THIS FIRST - WHAT ENGINES WILL FIT MY CAR?

"someone" told you wrong. the Mazda6 has variable valve timing that would not work in the cougar

Yeah, have fun with importing that over buddy

Stick with the ones in the first post in this thread, if you are remotely interested in even doing this anyway.

Re: READ THIS FIRST - WHAT ENGINES WILL FIT MY CAR?

I am interested in doing this and the mondeo engine seems like a good bet. I think I know where to get one I just wanted to know from people on here if there's anything that's hard with puting it in and hooking it up. I'm almost certain it does not have vvt so there shouldn't be any issue right?
