You only need to mess with fuel rails IF you are going to use the 3L manifolds. If your engine has the heads ported out for the 2.5L intakes then the stock fuel rails bolt up.

Is it possible to swap a ('99) 2.0L with a 3L? Or just the 2.5?

you can but it really isn't worth the work, you would need a 2.5L parts car for everything that you need ...

I saw a step by step post on everything you need, the how to, a parts list, and pics on here about a year ago for the 2.5 to 3.0 swap.......anyone know who posted it or if its still on here?

One simple question. Would it at all be possible to put the 3.0 engine on the 2000 cougar 4cyl frame. I was thinking about draggine one out of a junk sable but if it would require some serious bracket modification or a whole new frame I might as well buy another cougar. Thanks guys.

Subframe's different, not worth the effort in my opinion.

its doable but a lot of work and money. like what was said if u can find a front clip of a cougar/contour. you will need the 2.5 parts/harness/ecu/ subframe/possibly fuel line/axles there is a lot the swap
