    Exclamation 3.0 swap

    I was wondering what all it would take to do a full 3.0 swap?
    What transmission can i use?
    What 3.0 duratec can i use? ( read on wiki theres like a few different kind of duratec 30's)
    Do i need a new exhaust setup up?

    You use the transaxle already in your car.

    You can use engines from;
    Ford Taurus, Mercury Sable 01-05
    Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, Mazda Tribute 02-05 ish
    Mazda MPV 02-05
    these are the only cars we can use, unless you want to do the leg work to get some other duratec working, and since you didn't even want to read our stickies...

    All builds are rather involved and require an engineering mind set of sorts. No one is going to take the time and spell out everything you'll need to know and have, all the info is in the stickies and build thread, start your research. That said you need to figure out which kind of build suits you and your local best. In areas where you need to visually pass inspection things like full 3L's and EGR deletes are a bad idea, but if not these can save you a lot of work.

    A new exhaust would be a good idea, at least cat back. You can do a completely new exhaust for a little over $1k, that's headers, y pipe, high flow cat, flex pipe, cat back. Check out trubendz and MSDS for these products.
