01-04 3.0 performance questions

New here and to trying to modify these engines. Here is what I have and what I am doing. I have purchased a 01 Ford Escape 3.0 automatic 4x4. My plan is to turn it into a competent off road vehicle. But it is underpowered at the lower rpm range. I am looking for bolt on or tune mods that I can use to up the power of the engine without completely building it from the ground up. Now I know that I can help the engine performance by using a stall converter to keep it in the powerband and regearing the vehicle, which I will probably do. But I still want to optimize/maximize my engines power. I am located in the Northwest corner of Alabama near the city of florence about 100 miles from Huntsville. If anyone knows of dynos/tuners in this area I would love that information. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have surfed around and found almost nothing available but after reading posts on here I realized that the people here know more about these engines than I probably ever will so I think this is my best shot. Find a Kenne Bell supercharger kit. Kenne Bell doesn't sell them anymore.

You should join a Escape forum. I'm sure they could help you out way more than we could.

The Kenne Bell kit doesn't work on the Cougar/Contours so it's unlikely anyone on here would have one. I think they were discontinued a while back so there won't be many out there anyway.
