Double Wall Vs Single Wall Exhaust Tip

I am in the process of getting a catback exhaust installed NOW as I type.

My questions is what is the difference between a double wall or single wall tip and does it make a performance difference??

I am battling between some regular silverline tips or more expensive borla tips.

None whatsoever. Looks only. It's merely a "tip within a tip"- Borla calls it a "phantom" tip. Purely asthetic.

Personally I like the "Single Wall" if that's how you refer to it. Nothing beats straight chrome pipes with a 45º angle cut.

I love the Borla system. It sounds good (not loud) and the tips looks sweet. I'm not partial to the trubendz look.

angle cut tips are ugly. they look like a hacked-off pipe.
tips with rolled edges are the way to go.

u people and your mundain thinking(go the ricer route) laser cut flames into the tips and throw some orange, yellow and red led's in there. come on people thats where its at

The outside wall of my double wall exhaust tips ( borla rolled) dont get hot. Thic could be good if your exhaust tip sits close to the bumper and or bodykit. You might get less heat damage to the paint and kit.
