    Odd engine observation

Ok so I took my UIM off this past weekend because my engine was acting screwy. Now its fixed

But here it goes. I think its cylinder 6. The front drivers side cylinder, not the secondary one the smaller opening one. When I looked at it, it was SPOTLESS. Every other port was dirty like its suppused to be. But you could serirously eat off this port. Both the UIM and LIM port was clean only on that cylinder. The secondary port was dirty like the rest.

Very odd huh?! I have no CELs or anything so its not like that one isnt working, plus the secondary port is dirty. Ohwell, any ideas? Anyone ever seen this?

    Tony

Maybe he is stuck in the precat material if he made it through the engine

Thats really odd... havent seen that before. Id say if it was a piston that was that clean, youd have a head gasket out between a coolant passage and the cyl. nooo idea on that one though.. unless your UIM had a sereous restriction to that port.

Well I have an SVT UIM and SVT LIM with all new injectors. The secondary port is dirty so if the fuel injector wasnt working than the secondary would be clean too right? I have no precat material cause i have headers. So that gremlin could be anywhere.

I dont mean to post off-topic, but NorCalCoug, why is it that most people that say "hella" are from norcal? I went to school up there in monterey, and it was "hella this, hella that" Now, when I came back down to SoCal...hella is nowhere to be found

'Hella' is a NorCal thing. It has since spread, but it's still a NorCal thing.

Here's the thing though, right? The oil suspended in the intake air (from the PCV) is what's gumming up your intake manifold, not the injectors. Secondaries are usually dirtier than primaries because the butterfly valves aren't always open, trapping that oil-suspended air in the runner for a bit longer than normal, coating the runner with an oil varnish (over time). But that doesn't explain why the primary was completely clean unless there's a dead animal stuck further up in the runner.
