How much torque will I lose w/ SVT cams?

I've been considering getting my hands on a set of these, but I'm curious as to how much torque I'm going to lose in exchange for some extra HP. The reason I wonder is that I'm more concerned with power levels from 3-5k than I am from 6500-6900. I realize how few people have done this, but does anyone know where to find some before / after dyno results for just a cam switch?

In case it will make a diffrence in power changes, my engine mods....

Fidanza Flywheel (not "engine", but hey....it's gotta be good for an extra hp)

i dont see how you would loose any torque by going with SVT cams. I think the SVT contour is 200HP and 200 ft*lbs correct?

The 3L Duratec is 200 / 200. The 2.5L SVT is 200hp/170TQ, but the torque peak is higher than on a regular 2.5L

If the SVT's lower rev torque levels = the regular duratec's and the SVT cams have the potential to just improve high-end torque, it'll be perfect for me, but I'm not sure if those 5 ft/lbs of torque up higher are coming at the expense of torque down low.

Most of the torque loss with SVT cams vs. standard seems to occur at the dip when the secondaries open at around 3000-3500.... It's much, much more pronounced on the dyno plots I've seen of SVT's.

SVT rated at slightly higher peak torque 169@5500 vs 165@ about 4800 IIRC. Basically, dynos Ive seen non-SVT Duratecs are slightly stronger maybe 3-5lb/ft (mod for mod) before secondaries open. Agree with Frank that the dip at 3400 RPM a bit more pronounced with SVT...but its all pretty subtle. After about 3800 RPM equal or better torque with SVT and SVT keeps making torque for another 700 RPM or so before falling off (except Frank's car which makes peak torque about 5200 RPM..close to SVT....this shows the effect of removing secondaries...MAKES and SVT-like powerband!!!) .

Basically low RPM..small advantage regular Duratec
    midrange....about same
    high......big advantage SVT

Nothing is for free....however, even SVT engine has enough torque at low RPM for good drivability, you will not notice any loss except perhaps with ATX.
