If the LIM is svt spec in 5/99 and up cougars does that go for the fuel inj. also???????

NO. All Cougars and non-SVT Contours have 17#/hr injectors. Only SVT Contours have 19#/hr, and the SVT ECU is the only ECU with the support for the 19#ers built-in. Using anything other than 17# injectors with a stock Cougar PCM (ATX or MTX) requires a piggy-back chip that expects the larger injectors.

so the 2000+ have the svt lim just different injectors. sweet ..... what about the SHO shop big bore LIM??

I just bought some svt cams off ebay and wondering how hard it is to put them in , i was also planning on getting the UIM, TB,

SHO Shop = trouble reported by many members. You may have good luck with this, other have been through hell with them. I would tell you that the larger bore LIM is not necessary until you've maxxed out the UIM, or even converted to the split port 3L UIM (a LOT of work, EGR, IACV fabrication).

ok i have a couple of questions

got the svt cams, is there a how 2 for the install?
i am bidding on a svt uim/lim on ebay? hopefully i get it. can u still get the TB from ford?
is there a PN for the SVT TB brackets, the 19# injectors and the SVT gaskets. or will fel-pro gaskets for just fine?
should i get the svt ecu or should i just keep my own and aget a AZDC chip and tell them what moods i have already done for the car?
and is there a how-to for the svt swap as the brackets, knife-edging the butterfly, and would i need to change all the timing componets on the heads to put the svt cams in or will my stock 2.5 timing work?

ok ok i found the uim/lim gaskets and others

I am still trying to find the brackets and cable for the TB swap.


also some of u know i have the svt cams and the svt uim, i am getting the svt TB and 19# inj.

my question is the about the ecu, i have heard u can use a stock ecu with a azdc chip?

or do u have to use a svt ecu and a azdc chip?

cant the azdc chip be burnt for svt cams,19#inj, gmk cai........?

The return/returnless issue is immaterial. Please read the FAQ- '98 and '99 SVTs were return-style, '00s were returnless. That tells you what year SVT engine/ECU (or just swap the fuel rail and injectors to match your car) you need.
ATX can get all the mod's listed, just unable to use the SVT ECU...? Can't you get it custom tuned and chipped?
