    Things that I would double-check:
    1. Check and recheck ALL vacuum lines going to the UIM!!!
    2. Make sure that the IACV is operational
    3. Make sure that the MAF and IAT are plugged in
    4. Make sure you have gas
    5. Confirm that the plug wires are going to the proper plugs and coil
    6. Confirm that the plugs/wires are firing using one of the methods described above
That is all I can think of now ... keep us updated, and good luck!

I know you smell fuel, but have you checked your fuel cut off switch that is located under the driverside dash?? Maybe this got popped somehow when you were working on it.. Worth a check.

the fuel cut off kills the fuel pump... if he hears the fuel pump the fuel cut off would be not the issue.

also you can run a car without egr, iac and iat... it will just idle horribly... you can even leave the vacuum lines on top the uim disconnected, again you'll just get a horrible idle and some unmetered/unfiltered air entering the engine (not to mention 0 braking power)

Pulled teh plugs and they were drenched in fuel.

turned the car over to get rid of that extra fuel

replaced the plugs with brand new ones

car will not start and looks like I have no spark.

Cannot figure out how in the world a working car can have a toasted coil pack just fromtaking it apart and reassembling it.

Here is a pic of the plug itself.

Tested it with a meter and there is no continuity from the bolt side to the wired lead. Also checked for resistance and it is wide open.

part # f6af-18801-aa this come up in any of the ford cd's?

warmonger on the CEG has a thread called Stuttering problem in the 3.0L category, his problem ended up being something to do with a ground on the coil pack... i would definetely let him know about this.

If the spark plugs where soaked, this means that fuel was probably in the cylinder for the past 48 hours since this problem has been going on since day before yesterday. I mention this beause fuel has probably contaminated your oil. CHANGE YOUR OIL once the car is operational again. Sounds like the problem is the coil from what you have posted. What does that plug plug-into? Trace that wire and see.
