    performance parts?

    Im not sure if Im in the rite section or not since I am new to the forum, if not you guys can move it. But anyways I have owned my 2001 Cougar for 7years now and love it but now I want to get some performance stuff done to it. Any suggestions like bolts on performance?

    Read the sticky in the 2.5L section. SVT upgrades. headers. exhaust. intake. tune. SUSPENSION

    EDIT: assuming you own a v6, if not read zetec section

    where can I the SVT upgrades at do you have a website link? Yes I do have a the 2.5L V6 engine.

    with the SVT lite upgrade kit whats the estimated power gained by installing this on?

    Next to nothing.

    Said it before and I'll say it again, don't expect the Duratec to feel like a whole new engine unless you sink about $2000 into it.

    Engine mods are a waste of time on the 2.5.

    Stick with the handling mods, and it's very easy to make it feel like a whole new car with relatively little investment.

    All Im really wanting to do is intake and headers thats pretty much it! But what all can be done for $2000?

    Forced induction. It's the only thing that would ever make the 2.5 V6 exciting.

    I have seen turbo kits but they are way over $2k but havent seen no supercharger kits
