SVT Air Temperature Sensor compatibility

Is SVT air temperature sensor compatible with standard Cougar? Is there any technical/functional difference between SVT and Standard sensor apart from design?

I recently upgraded UIM, TB with SVT ones and now got this K&N CAI kit.



This is universal kit and Cougar's air temperature sensor won't fit into the pod. So, I had to use the sensor that was on SVT rubber air intake tube, because I cant fit in stock sensor into that tube. Is it ok to use SVT sensor?

i dont see why not they do the same thing theyre just in different shapes. id say so long as it plugs into the right place go ahead it should be fine.

The reason they are in different shape is standard sensor plugs into air filter box (twist lock design) and SVT sensor plugs into air intake tube (just push in type). With not much choice am using SVT sensor and no dramas so far.

You should be fine. I have the SVT accordian and just plugged the hole.
