99 svt compatabality with 02 engine

I was making sure i could take parts off of a 99 svt engine and put them on my 02 cougar engine. I'm doing a full svt upgrade cams and pistons and all. But i remember reading differences about the returnless fuel lines and some other stuff so I just wanted to get some insight.

The rails themselves are same whether they are SVT or non-SVT (besides the fuel system type), so just use your existing fuel rail.

You'll want to just use your existing lower intake manifold, too...it's already SVT spec.

The injectors will work if the 99 SVT is a returnless fuel system. If the SVT is a return style system (it probably is) you can solder in EV1 connectors to your fuel injector harness. You will not be able to use the return style SVT ECU though.

You can't use the pistons as the bore size of the 2001/2002 2.5 is slightly smaller than the 99/00 2.5. It's really pointless anyway...with that much work, just go with a 3L, or find a ready to drop-in SVT 2.5.
