Unless you relocate the IMRC, I doubt removing the cover makes any temperature difference at all. I'd leave it.

Agreed. I took mine off, it looked stupid, so I put it back on. Moving it the "ghetto" way to a cooler location would really be the only way. I kept mine stock though. If you're going for looks, moving that ugly imrc box really isn't all that ghetto.
