Re: headers and mil question

Correction- If you have an '01 or '02 Cougar, you will not need them. If you have a '99 or an '00 Cougar, you will. The '01 & '02 Cougars have a downstrean sensor after the main cat- The '99 and '00s have two, one after each precat, which the headers eliminate.

Quoted for truth.

You have an 01 so you do NOT need them.

Re: headers and mil question

just put on my 3in exhaust (y pipe back) i think it sounds awsome. the caps and the headers get put on on sunday along with my flywheel and my clutch.

I went with the three inch cause i am getting a turbo for my car. NPG has my deposit they say it should be about a week or two for the kit to be complete then they can ship it two me.

that is a good reason to get a 3" exhaust, FI, but for a NA 2.5L all you need is 2.5" exhaust ...
