Question Which FlowMaster muffler is right?

Hey guys,

Well, I decided to go with FlowMaster over Borla. Anyhow, the guy at the shop said to go with the Super 40 series. So, for the heck of it I called FlowMaster and they said the best one for the Cougar would be the 50 Series Delta Flow.

I'm looking for something that's "sporty but pleasant".....something so I can hear my tunes and that doesn't have a drone inside the car (unlike my Weapon-R's which came with it).

He told me #942451 from the 50 Series Delta Flow would be perfect.

Does anyone have any experience with FlowMaster and which one you would recommend? Advice as always is appreciated.

Rock on!............

Re: Which FlowMaster muffler is right?

I have a 40 Series on mine and I love it. I don't understand the people who say its "too loud for driving", I find mine is just a faint background noise, especially if I have my Sirius on. If you want a "quiet, cushy ride", buy a Cadillac.

Tht was a much better vid, thats what i was goin for, just couldnt find a good vid of the flows. Thats what mine sound like, but his are just a little bit louder it seems. Anyways, borla is too over priced, dont get me wrong they sound GREAT. But, flowmaster for the price...performance...sound, Flowmaster is GOD. But to each their own i guess.

Re: Which FlowMaster muffler is right?

Do not get the 50 series! they sound like ass.
get the delta 40s. it has drastically reduced resonance at 2k.

Re: Which FlowMaster muffler is right?

if you get the 40 series, you have to move stock muffler location because it is too wide.

Re: Which FlowMaster muffler is right?

yea, but if you replace it where the stock muffler is, its too wide.
