I appreciate everybodies inputs.....again I don't get to post much because I am in the middle of the ocean working on a lan that 5000 other ppl use at the same time. When I say I wanna go fast i never meant I wanna blow ppl out of the water. I just want a little more speed out of my car. Again i appreciate the inputs.

if u want a little more speed and a better sound for a reasonable price intake headers and exhaust are ur best bet. like everyone said u will never get the cougar to be a rocket but its plenty of fun to drive. especially on winding roads.

I love mine to death. I haev a 2002 MTX car adn I can kick the crap out of tons of other cars going into corners, now accel is a diffrent story. I get 24.5 mpg city and 32 mpg highway, dont flame me guys i live at sea level in Florida with no hills. I have 80 k on the ticker. I really do want to do a 3 l and a turbo, I love the sound of it and mid 13s is fine with me, ill beat most stock trim mustangs and gen 4 camaro/firebird

Shoot, man; a well-tuned 3.0 straight up will get you real close to a flat 14; probably a high 13 if you can really drive it...

well in my area NO one and i mean NO one drives a cougar some people think im just another eclipse (everyone has one here) can a cougar with a 2.5 V6 beat a gst eclipse or a 3000GT.... ever??? or a talon or sunfire lol

My friend has 95 Eclipse GSX and he upgraded the turbo to get around 300hp maybe a little more. (Also he spent around $8000 or so in new parts and labor) He kept the stock internals so he was limited in the amount of boost he could do and he also had a very short and quick 1st gear afterwards. It was quicker of course but now its just sitting at his house with motor issues I believe. So right now my Cougar can beat a GSX
